Rollable Tables and Probability

Hey, I'm playing AD&D 1e, and I wanted to use the rollable tables for random encounters.  Many of the tables that I'm using are based on a 1d100 scale in order to make it more likely to encounter some monsters than others.  I was just trying to use your tables to make a table that would roll a 1d100 and on a 1 to 2, demihumans would be encountered, on 3 to 5, dwarves, 6 to 9 High Elves, etc.  It seems like on these rollable tables all items are just as likely as all the other items, meaning that in a swamp, my players are just as likely to encounter a beholder or black dragon as they are to encounter some goblins.  Could you implement something so its likely that some results will come up more than others?

I would like this as well but for now just enter the same thing multiple times. Note that you can simplify roll tables a bit. For example I have a table where on a d20 1-10 are nothing then 11-12, 13-14, ... are each something else. I can simplify that to a d10 and retain the same probabilities.
+1 to this.  I'd like to use the tables for hit location charts in GURPS without having to enter 216 fields to get the probability correct.
Yup. That would be ideal and make the tables even more useful. :)

Unfortunately, this solution would still involve entering 100 entries per rollable table for random encounters in AD&D. Each table seems to have at least one creature there's only a 1% chance of encounteriing.

The point is that you cannot do that now. As it is now you need to enter each option in the number of times that equals it's probability.
Just to stop this discussion from going off the rails, we are planning to add something to facilitate this use-case (creating tables that have different weights for each item). It will probably be a week or two before it's live, though.
Looking forward to seeing this added

Mm. Roll20. Like Maptools, but reliable and with regular updates. +1
