Hello, everyone, and thanks for checking this topic. I've been an experienced game master and storyteller for several years, and while I have the most experience with Dungeons and Dragons I've also run and played in a variety of other systems. I've found that Powered by the Apocalypse games can be a lot of fun if you enjoy the story and roleplaying aspects of RPGs, which is why I decided to offer a little variety and start this Monster of the Week game. Like the title says, the new campaign is a little something I'm calling Gods Among Us. The ancient pantheons of Norse, Greek, African, Indian, and other mythologies have returned after a long absence, and they are quite displeased with the way humans have moved on from worshiping them. Most pantheons have managed to gain a solid foothold in the regions they originated from, but the United States has become a battleground thanks to the fact that it's full of immigrants from all over the globe. No pantheon has enough power to act openly, however, and so instead they send their priests to convert and their monsters to terrorize. The PCs are all monster hunters who have decided that they're not going to take that terror lying down. You may work for one of several organizations trying to bring order to the chaos, you may be operating on your own, but at the end of the day you're not going to let innocent people be hurt or killed by mythical monstrosities brought back to life. The campaign will use Monster of the Week, a Powered by the Apocalypse rule set. That means the system is light on rules and heavy on narrative, and you can freely download all the information you need to be a player directly from the developer's website (evilhat.com). I will also be using Discord for voice chat. Sessions will be weekly on Saturdays at 7:30 pm Central Time, and will likely run for 2-3 hours. The payment I'm asking for is $10 US via PayPal, due at the end of each session. However, your first session as a player will always be free, no matter when you join the campaign. I want my players to know whether or not they enjoy my games before they pay anything. Please note that Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
