[Pathfinder] GM LF 4 Players, Saturday 5pm EST, Dark Sun

Dark Sun is a campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game. Set on the desert world of Athas, Dark Sun is about the struggle for survival. It is a world where magic drains the very essence of life. Ancient wars have left vast swaths of the planet sterile; even now, druids fight a losing battle to preserve the environment. To practice magic is to tempt death at the hands of the mob, yet the cities themselves are ruled by the most powerful of defilers. __________________________________________________ Enter the ancient and corrupt city of Tyr, whose tyrannical sorcerer king has ruled for a millennium. As you wander the city, from the wreck of the Elven warrens to the sanguine splendor of the Arena, you realize that the citizens of Tyr thirst less for water than they do for freedom. __________________________________________________ Level 1 2 Traits (Cannot be under the same category) You may take a 3rd Trait if you choose to take a Flaw. These flaws and traits must be a integral part of your character, one you can consistently role play per session through your actions or in the ending soliloquy, at the end of each session. 15pt Buy This game will not use tokens or battle grids, as such many of the Pathfinder rules have been tweaked to suit this play style. This game will be run using google+ / roll20 (roll20 will be used for imagery, maps, ambient music, rolls) All available races have been modified to suit the setting, along with several other tweaks done to the Pathfinder rules system. Available Races: (All of the stat blocks and racial abilities have been altered in some way. More info will be given if selected.) Dwarf Elf Half-Elf Half-Giant Halfling Human Mul (Human / Dwarf mix breeds) Thri-kreen (Mantis Warriors) Available Classes: Barbarian Cleric (Can be a Templar. If you are not, you must choose an elemental or paraelemental domain; May choose an appropriate favored weapon. You choose a city-state / sorcerer-king if you are a templar, gaining an appropriate favored weapon accordingly) Druid (Modified list of animal companions) Fighter Ranger (Modified list of animal companions) Rogue (Proficient with simple weapons, light martial weapons, finesse weapons, garrote, hand crossbow, shortbow and shuriken) Wizard (Preservers are unchanged. Defilers can apply metamagic feats - up to ½ class level - without increasing spell level. Doing so destroys all plant life in an area with a radius equal to the “defiling bonus” squared in ft; double in areas with little vegetation, half in areas with heavy vegetation. Living creatures other than the defiler within the radius must succeed at a Fortitude save [DC equal to 10 + the level of the spell] or be sickened for 1 round. Preservers and defilers may substitute a metamagic feat for which they qualify in place of Scribe Scroll at 1st level) Anti Paladin / Paladin (You are a Templar. Must prepare spells; favored weapon as appropriate for each city-state and sorcerer-king.) Psionic Classes (Players cannot take levels in multiple Psionic classes. There is no Autohypnosis skill) Dread Crptic Psion Psychic Warrior (Note: the meditant archetype makes a good monk substitute) Vitalist Wilder __________________________________________________ https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/11041/dark-sun Questionnaire (Everyone's favorite thing!) wow, I haven't played DarkSun since the Wake of the Ravager TSR game. I'd love to take a crack at an Elven Rogue if you've room. I'm 35, have reliable internet, headset, and cam if needed. Skype, Google Handouts, Vent, etc are all fine. I've been playing various flavors of D&D since I was a kid; though mostly TSR GoldBox Computer RPGs. The last 8 months have mostly focused on Pathfinder and a little D&D Next. I've DM'd PF and 4e games a number of times as well. I'm a tactically minded combatant, but I make a point of being useful out of combat too.I don't min-max, and always try to be effective to the group. I've been using Roll20 very heavily lately, and have gotten pretty decent with macros and abilities. I enjoy helping folks out, so I'm open to questions or suggestions if anyone needs a hand with their setup. If you read the Specific Use forums, you'll see me offering suggestions all the time.
OMG I would love to play. I know all about the classes and races. Let me know if I can join.
Last 20 years since 1st edition. Played everything D&D, Shadowrun, CoC and several other things. CoC RPing but combat can be cool also. Any theme is good. Looking for fun and lots of laughing. Want to entertain as well as be entertained. Ambitions to make everyone have a good time as well as have a good time with them.
Hello. I would like to apply for the position of a player in your campaign. To answer your questionnaire: 1.) I started playing table top RPG's approximately 7 months ago (with experience as both a player and a DM), though I've been interested in them for much longer (the only limiting factor being finding a group that shared that interest). I am familiar with D&D 3.5, though I would be happy to research any recommended material to get me up to speed with the relevant mechanics they intend to apply to the campaign. I have spent hours just browsing the D&D wikis just for fun, so there is no need to worry about my willingness to learn new mechanics. I would say my preferred setting is classic medieval fantasy, but I am open to almost any cohesive setting. 2.) As for my preferred style of play, I would have to say that I certainly enjoy the roleplaying portion of RPG's, though I do prefer a solid base of agreed upon rules and letting the dice fall where they may (which isn't to say that I feel dice must always be used to decide the outcome). While my characters tend to be a bit serious, I have no objections to silly characters so long as they have consistent motivation and adhere to the rules set out by the DM (which is to say, I don't mind a character pulling a dozen apples out of their rectum and stabbing my character in the chest so long as it was established that it was possible for them to do that and that it is something their character would logically do given the circumstances). I would be fine with a campaign centered around combat or character interaction. Either is fine by me. 3.) My ambitions for joining an RPG are to play a character in a story (while trying to keep the game interesting for my fellow players). While I do get starry-eyed looking at some of the abilities available to my character's skill lines, I ultimately do what I believe my character would do. I do not min max, and try to choose skills my character would have (for example, my last character spent a lot of time in a library and handling books, so I put points into book making and calligraphy, despite the fact that I knew it was going to be combat centered campaign). I work with what fate gives me, and while I do hope I won't be left completely in the dark as to the possible repercussions of my actions, I am willing to accept the outcome as decided by the DM. 4.) My Skype name is "travis.miller100". Additional Information: I have a very flexible schedule, especially now that its summer. This may change when college starts back up again.
All available spot are filled - thank you all that had been interested.
