Shared Vision

The biggest pushback I get from my group when I set up dynamic lighting is the lack of a shared vision feature. The lack of ability for everyone to see everyone else's token makes for non-combat exploration a major pain. Yeah, there are workarounds but there should be a simple toggle baked into the lighting system that says all PCs can see all other PCs.

Having a button for the sake of convience, Good idea. However it makes no sense for a player token to see another if not in line of sight and if it is the case, then you may as well just turn on Global illumination and keep restrict movement turned on.
Global Illumination doesn't solve the problem. We're in a dungeon crawl, where I don't want the party to be able to see everything and I want to be able to take advantage of light sources in rooms for dramatic effects.  But out of combat, I either need to keep everyone in an initiative order of sorts or use a workaround to emulate a "party token" to explore. Both are clunky... It would be cleaner to be able to handle that within the lighting system itself.
In two years of playing on roll20 this has literally never been a problem.  Players pay attention and slowly move their tokens through the dungeon.  More or less following the leader as it were.  Once in a blue moon, a person falls behind because they took a bio break, but never enough for it to be an issue.

The players are more scared because they can't always see what the other PCs are doing. I'm sure a thief LOVES this feature, since they can be working on a chest without the other players even knowing that a chest is there :-)

I agree with the Suggestion. Hard to understand Patrick and Vegemite in this thread. That's fine if your game doesn't want or need this, but other games do need it. Why would you post that it is not a problem? Maybe not for you.
One workaround for this is to give everyone control of all the characters. That way, all players see through all party eyes.
I would also like this to be an option. Lets call it the "PC Hive Mind", maybe? ;)
The problem happens when someone picks up their token while it is i site of another token and drops it some distance away where it is not.  The players don't know where it went.  They can't see any evidence of what direction it went in.  So being able to show someone where the tokens are/were is useful, even if it is somewhat unrealistic.  Ideally, this would be done with perhaps the ability for a player to 'show' the last position for all tokens, like a toggle.  or to allow them to see where any token was dropped after it left line of site, for one turn, or until the token is moved again.  That's asking a lot, but would alleviate the issue at hand.
