Title. I set a map I made to utilize dynamic lighting and set several light tokens to emit light but they aren't showing as emitting light, and loading in a token as a player shows no light either. Anything I'm forgetting or doing wrong?
Are you using legacy or updated dynamic lighting? The tokens and map page have to be both using the same system, updated or legacy. Updated has some problems and I am not using it, so I can only advise on legacy DL. If the map is set to enable dynamic lighting, and the light-emiting tokens are also using legacy, not updated DL, it should work. Two things to check: Is "has sight" checked on the player token? Is Fog of War concealing the map?
Yeah, both the light emitters are using the updated DL and the page is set to have DL. Everything is covered by FoW, nothing is emitting light, nor is giving sight to any player controlled token allowing them to see anything.
If everything is covered by Fog of War, then nothing should be visible to anyone. When you turn on Fog of War, the default state is the entire map obscured unless areas are specifically revealed using the reveal tool. Fog of War is like a sheet of black paper laid over the virtual table top, through which you cut holes. This is assuming that when you say Fog of War you are not referring to Advanced Fog of War which is A) another system entirely, and B) wholly incompatible with UDL.
Just to check again, you say the light emitting tokens are using updated DL, but you say the page is set for DL. The page will also need to be set to updated DL. Also, keithcurtis is right about Fog of War -- everything is black for the players until you reveal something using the reveal tool.
Yeah, double checked the settings, both the emitters and the page itself are set to only be using the updated DL. PC tokens are also set to have sight as well just in case. Still nothing, everything still shows up black to everyone and no light is being show emitted from the emitters.
The emitters are circled in pink, but as you can see everything is as it should be but the entire map remains that darkened color that denotes no light sources.
