Title is a little unclear. START date is June 30th 11PM EST For all you 2nd shift/Late nighters. All your life all you've known is slavery, abandonment, loss, and torture. It's time to take vengeance on the world that has wronged you. This is a home brew setting using the Pathfinder rule set. This is an EVIL campaign. We will not be starting until Late June. This is largely due to the fact that I have Military training and it is going to be taking place most of June. The party should be similar and cohesive. For example, the typical diverse group (Tank/Healer/Support/ranged) Is not what I want here. You all either play bruisers and become known for your barbaric ways of slaughtering those you take revenge on, or you find a way to be stealthy - In and out without a trace. Magic users will be necessary but don't feel the need to have a healer. I will provide plenty of ways to sustain yourself. I am looking for 3-4 Party will start out at level 4 20 point buy - No stat over 18 after racials. 8000 Gold. 2 Traits - no Drawbacks. You must play a character that is innately Evil. Alignment does not otherwise exist nor do deity's. Your personality and character will determine your actions. (We as humans do things that are innately good and bad all the time, it's stupid to constrict you to one of those) Races: Any(As long as it makes sense) http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races EXCEPT Aasimar. NO player killing** The only time this will be allowed is if fits the story in character and makes logical sense. Classes that are banned: Antipaladin, Paladin, Summoner, Gunslinger, Zen Archer Spells that are limited: You may cast spells that summon monsters/undead but you will be limited to 1 creature. I do not care what the rules say. It's absurdly boring if you raise 15 burning skeletons and take 16 turns while everyone else takes 1. I will allow one exception. Let's say you summon 5 burning skeletons and 5 exploding skeletons, tie them in a big net above the entrance to your lair. Someone walks in and the net drops exploding all of the skeletons dealing 10d6 damage as a trap. If you can create situations like that you will be rewarded. Otherwise the multiple summon rule is altered to 1. All archetypes are Okay! 3rd party stuff needs to be approved There will be no rape in my campaign. Mention it once, see ya bye! I do not have NPC children so children Homebrew rules: Natural 1: Automatic miss, re-roll to see if bad stuff happens. 5 And below will cause negative effects Natural 20: Auto hit, Roll to confirm for normal rules, If max damage is rolled extra effects will happen Natural 20 three times in a row on an attack is an automatic kill regardless of remaining health or HD. Mana Pool System (Caster buff): Does not apply to 0th level spells. Take the level of the spell, multiply it by the number of spells you can cast of that level and add the number to your mana pool. For example 1st: 5 per day 2nd: 3 per day 3rd: 1 Per day (5x1)+(3x2)+(1x3) = Mana pool total of 5+6+3 = 14 If you are a prepared caster, your mana pool is 14 so you prepare spells that total 14 for the day. If that means 4 3rd spells and 1 2nd level spell, you are good to go. Mundane ammo will not be tracked. Special ammo will. Health: Max at first level, average rounded up for the rest. Or... 1/2 your HD+1 per level (Which is the same) Ranged weapon damage. Add as much of your Dex modifier to damage as long as you have comparable STR. Example: You have 18 dex(+4) and 16 STR(+3) You will add +3 to damage on ranged weapons. This is to allow for possible ranged assassinations. This stacks with Composite bow rulings. Every Player will be granted 1 additional Campaign feat. This feat is free and you can do anything with it. Classes with skill points that are LESS than 4+int get buffed to 4+int. Raw Numbers will be considered heavily over roles when it comes to skill checks. Superman is strong, it makes no sense that 5%(natural 1) of the time he is weak. So if you are strong, then you are strong period! Same for stealthy, perceptive etc etc. No experience, The party will level when I say, usually the party levels after completing a larger mission or 2-3 small tasks. Any questions feel free to contact me. I will edit the post as stuff comes up that I left out by mistake. 1. Your Race/Class 2. How old YOU as a player are 3. How long have you been playing DnD and how long have you been playing Pathfinder 4. Are you a serious player? A casual 'cut up and goof off player' or a mixture of both? 5. Do you want a long term campaign?(Years) a month long campaign? or a 3 month campaign? 6. Your background is that you were a slave, you found yourself in this guild that kills for money. Your personality will distinguish your character from the rest of the people applying. This is where you need to sell your character to me. Skype and Mic required

Im interested i might not be able to make it right at 11pm your time i am a hour behind and sometimes my shift runs a bit late
I can be flexible. The game isn't for another 30 days, alot can change. Let's see how the interest for the time goes and I'll go from there. walter l. said: Is this different than your other ad. I violated a rule in my last post. I fixed it is all.
1. Tiefling/ Magus 2. 24 3. I have been playing pathfinder for over a year. 4. Depends on the campaign I have a heavy role play where I am fairly serious and a more hack and slash one where I make jokes and play around a little. 5. I would prefer a long term campaign mostly so I can have a powerful character. 6. Personality wise Zoren is so lazy if he didn't need money to live and to experiment he would be holed up every day experimenting with magic. He is only interested in getting money to fuel his research into the arcane and hording power. He doesn't care about others. He won't back stab others, Not because its wrong but because planning out betrayals are too labor intensive. He does expect betrayal from others but feels that he can come out on top of any fights due to his fighting and magical abilities.
1. Dwarf/ Cleric 2. 118 3. DnD for 2 years 1 year in Pathfinder 4. I am a mix of a funny joker of a player but, I know when we need to be serious and get stuff done 5. I like long term games where we have time to develop as a group. 6. Kodaav was in a cult of followers that worshipped an evil Deity. They made sacrifices and crazy shit for there god. Kodaav didn't enjoy this life but the cult gave them money so he needed to keep following it. Eventually he left and ran from his cult and eventually slept for the night a few miles away from his cult-house. And during the night he got captured by slavers on the road. Personality wise he comes off as a rather cranky Dwarf but, will defend his friends.
You are 118 years old and still play DnD? Impressive.

1.Orc/ Barbarian/sorcerer 2.23 3. I've played pathfinder for 2 years and I've GM'd a few games 4. I like a mixture of serious and humor. I like both roleplay and fighting. 5. Either one is fine. I prefer shorter campaigns as longer ones usually break apart because of life happening, but I would still enjoy a long campaign 6. Daka strong orc! Daka like smashy smash with big swordy and no like goody goodys. Daka Smashy for shiny gold. Shiny gold bring pretty orcy woman. Daka try use thinkpan but make head hurt.

Sounds interesting. Would love to hear more about the world and setting. Anyway, onwards. 1. Your Race/Class Human/Druid (Possibly Blight Druid Archetype, not sure.) 2. How old YOU as a player are 19 years. 3. How long have you been playing DnD and how long have you been playing Pathfinder Friend introduced me to 3.5e in early January. Branched to Pathfinder in early February, and have been running with that group since. 4. Are you a serious player? A casual 'cut up and goof off player' or a mixture of both? I sometimes crack jokes in chat and whatnot. I'm serious when it's called for. It's still mostly about playing a game and having fun with everyone for me, however. I do try to not interrupt others. 5. Do you want a long term campaign?(Years) a month long campaign? or a 3 month campaign? I would likely prefer a longer campaign. More character interaction. More exploration. More fun. More of a story to tell. 6. Your background is that you were a slave, you found yourself in this guild that kills for money. Your personality will distinguish your character from the rest of the people applying. This is where you need to sell your character to me. (Let's see if I can properly communicate the personality in my mind before my writing inspiration leaves me, here goes) Cold, calculating, contemptuous of the weak. All words that could be used to describe him. A jaded, cynical individual shaped by a life of pain, subjugation, and misery. He believes that power, wealth, knowledge, life...everything; belongs to those who take it. That those who limit themselves by petty notions of self-righteousness are weak and afraid of the truth that stares them in the face every day. That they are nothing more than Prey, simply waiting for something larger, faster, and stronger to eat them. Has a dark sense of humor to match his survivalist outlook on life. Can be sarcastic. "Eat or be eaten. Adapt or die. One of the few truths in this world. Regardless of how well you can fight, how much knowledge you gather, or how many others you command. To something else you are little more than a meal. People always manage to find excuses to make them feel better, denying themselves. 'It was self defense' or 'It's for the greater good' or a variety of other things. In the end it all boils down to Survival and Greed." (I think that's all my brain will relinquish to me at the moment. Lemme know if ya like it, I would love to flesh him out more.)
Update!: Seems many people are confused. I do not wish to have a backstory. How you got into slavery or how you got out is irrelevant to the story. I will not be including content related to your background or backstory (Normally I would... just not for this campaign) What I want are details about your characters personality. What makes him tick? Astiahl has a great example of this.
1. Human Alchemist. 2. 21 3. I've played PF for two years now and 3.5 for five. 4. Naturally it depends on the game, but for the most part I'm a serious player and won't make OOC jokes/smalltalk unless that's what the group is doing. 5. If the group meshes well and you're a good DM, then I would love a long campaign. 6. At first glance Ictherial seems like the stereotypical bookworm; a disinterested, scatter-brained introvert. Yet, he is intensely interested in others, particularly in how he can break them down both physically and mentally and rarely shies away from a chance to do so. He possesses a calm, patient sadism and is most satisfied when he can take his time watching his victim slowly dissolve.
1. Your Race/Class Human/Fighter 2. How old YOU as a player are 28 3. How long have you been playing DnD and how long have you been playing Pathfinder Pathfinder a year, 3.5 5 years on and off 4. Are you a serious player? A casual 'cut up and goof off player' or a mixture of both? Serious with some lite fun 5. Do you want a long term campaign?(Years) a month long campaign? or a 3 month campaign? Yes long one 6. Your background is that you were a slave, you found yourself in this guild that kills for money. Your personality will distinguish your character from the rest of the people applying. This is where you need to sell your character to me. A born merc he shows himself as a man willing to get things done and shows that he do whatever it takes to earn the paycheck with his brash outlook he made a fair bti of friends and alot of enemies in that short time.

How late do you expect your sessions to run? I like your house rules, the crit/fumble is how we've been doing our tabletop for years... The mana pool looks quite interesting too. 1. Your Race/Class: I'm thinking Goblin Ranger(Urban Archtype), Open to changing if need be. 2. Player's Age: 28 3. How Long: Played D&D(mostly 3.5) for about 7-8 years, made the swap to Pathfinder over 3 years ago.(Never looked back) I've also been doing Forum Roleplaying for the past 15 years, and started PbP pathfinder/D&D last December. 4. Type of Player: I'm generally more along the serious side, when it comes to being in character especially. Min-maxing irritates the hell out of me, and with good reason. I feel the rules are designed to be guidelines for a DM, and rules for a player. I am in no means a rules lawyer. I don't take things personally, when other players play their characters. That all being said, I find there's a place for fun and humor as well. 5. Campaign Length: A long term campaign would be ideal, but I wouldn't be opposed to a shorter one. 6. Personality: Grip Riddleshot is an overly confident schemer, always thinking he's one step away from his next brilliant plan and hopefully a big score. He is a firm believer in the whole "Finders Keepers Mentality.", even if he happened to find whatever the it is, within another persons pocket. He's not opposed in the slightest to take a life to get what he wants, or needs. There's a greed that hungers deep inside of him, one that seems to be part of his nature. Perhaps that hunger comes from having nothing as a slave, and so now he covets what he gets his hands on. Grip does not hold a high value on life,( Well, lives other than his own that is. ) so killing for coin comes easy. He is beyond stubborn, getting back up whenever he's knocked down, often just to get knocked down again. He is impatient in most cases, the exception being when there's good food present.( We all have our weaknesses right? ) He is often cynical towards others, and while he has a crude sense of humor, he usually keeps it to himself. (That's about what I got for now, I tend to mature the personality as I play a character.)
For now Recruitment is being closed. I will re-open it if something happens. The campaign itself is a month away, alot could happen. If anyone drops I'll be coming back here to pull people. Thank you all for your interest and happy hunting!
If you get a spot open, let me know! 1. Your Race/Class Human Monk 2. How old YOU as a player are 39 3. How long have you been playing DnD and how long have you been playing Pathfinder 20+ years and 4 years 4. Are you a serious player? A casual 'cut up and goof off player' or a mixture of both? Both 5. Do you want a long term campaign?(Years) a month long campaign? or a 3 month campaign? I would prefer a long term game. 6. Your background is that you were a slave, you found yourself in this guild that kills for money. Your personality will distinguish your character from the rest of the people applying. This is where you need to sell your character to me. Killing is easy. Someone shooting an arrow or spell from afar takes some skill, but there is zero threat. Sneaking up or poisoning your target also takes some skill, but were is the fun in that? Weapon and armor have their purposes, but I prefer to feel crunch of bone beneath my feet, the targets last breath on my face as I rip his heart out with my hands. Using my reflexes to dodge blows, hardening my body to absorb hits, striking through an opponent's defenses and tactically outmaneuvering them is my life's goal. My counterparts may complain that my views are against their belief's. That we should only use our skills for defense and remain peaceful. HA! Ask nature how that works out for the rest of the world. It is survival of the fittest! Evolve or become extinct. Kill or be killed. And now is my time to hone my skills, evolve them, and become the most fit fighter on the battlefield of life. Their might be something or someone out there that will be the death of me, but I will be bringing them with me to the afterlife.
