Roll20 freeze on launching game

I was making a map for my game, and when I tried to switch the lighting to global illumination to do some detail work, it froze and I received a message stating the page is unresponsive.  I have had this happen twice now.  The first time I promoted one of my players to GM and had them go in and delete the map in question.  That seemed to fix things.  I recreated the map and once more it froze when I tried to adjust the lighting on the map that I rebuilt.  Again I have had to have a player go in and delete that map.  In both cases I have cleared my cache, verified I have fully updated software, and removed extensions in Google Chrome.  I have no anti-virus software currently installed.  My storage quota is at 1 MB of 6144 MB.  I really could use some help figuring out what is wrong. System specs are as follows: OS - Windows 10 (64 bit) Screen Resolution - 1920 by 1080 Web Browser - Chrome 83.0.4103.97  Web Browser size - 1920 by 969 Color Depth - 24 bit Javascript - enabled Macromedia Flash Version - Not installed

Out of curiosity, are you also running Advanced Fog of War?  If so, that combination is known to cause trouble.

If you don't want to spoil things for a player, you might be able to open an otherwise locked game by A) opening it in a private browsing window, or B) creating a  Dummy Account  and promoting it to GM. The Dummy Account may be able to change the page setting if they do not load on it. And rather than delete the map, turn off Global Illumination or Advanced Fog of War. Performance issues like this bug were one of the driving forces in developing a n ew DL system.

There were some proposals put forth when the bug was identified, but since I don't use AFoW, I just note the bug for folks having issues, and move on.
Bill B. said: Does anyone know why Advanced Fog of War causes this issue? Advanced Fog of War requires your PC to perform a large amount of mathematical calculations. I imagine Global Illumination creates many virtual light sources, magnifying the math calculations by many factors, bogging many PCs down to a crawl.
