Sending a private message fails

When I try to send a private message, I'm always shown a new page with only: Not Authorized To Post ... not even a link back to where I was.  After submitting a bug report and waiting a while, I got a reply asking if I was still having the problem and the browser and OS I was using.  After replying to that and waiting a while, I got a reply today: Your request (16699) has been updated. To add additional comments, reply to this email. Hi Will, Apologies for the delayed response, we've been dealing with a large volume of tickets in recent times. If you're still encountering this problem, the solution is usually to attempt to go and post on the forum to see the Captcha and complete the Captcha. If this does not resolve it for you, could I have you attempt to clear your browsers cache? ... so here I am, making a post on the, I think, appropriate forum in order to complete the reCAPTCHA. While I'm here, I'll point out that this is a bad design - when a web page requires a CAPTCHA to be completed, the CAPTCHA should be on that page, not somewhere else on the site. -- Will P.S. By the way, the CAPTCHA just now did not show me any images.

Hi, William. Thanks for your feedback-- we do have a ticket in the development queue for fixing the design issue with private messages. I am glad you were able to post here and that PMs now work for you.
