Dynamic Lighting: How to prevent players from peering into neighboring rooms when they near close to a wall?

i'm using updated dynamic lighting, and my question has been answered, as this is a known issue with Updated DL... disclaimer, brand new to the platform. on the precipice of running my first game.  i'm running the CoS with the purchased module, i'm a plus subscriber and have spent a number of hours with trial and hour learning the system, and i'm perplexed at how to prevent a player from being able to see into neighboring rooms or through walls when they get close.  This is occuring for me both on a test map i've worked on and the campaign maps.  Hopefully, i am just doing something wrong, but in the examples where you have restrict movement set, and the lines drawn on the dynamic layer, i'm getting the desired effect of DL but if a character borders a wall, they're 'light' shines into them... Thanks for any help. -  James

This is a known bug with the Updated Dynamic Lighting.  It's on the list to be fixed before it replaces the Legacy Dynamic Lighting.
Thanks Aaron, for the quick reply.  Should i presume to use the 'original' dynamic lighting? (not that i really know to do that)(yet :) )

It sounds like you have switched maps over to Updated Dynamic Lighting? If so, I would strongly encourage remaining with Legacy for a game you are actually playing. If you haven't started play, I would go so far as to recommend scrapping the game and doing a fresh install to avoid any missed settings.

(not that i really know to do that)(yet :) ) Original dynamic lighting is already set and ready to go. You don't need to do anything. I just created a test game to verify that this is still the case.
@Keith Thanks man. appreciate the quick response, that's very encouraging.  While you guys are answering all of my questions/concerns.  Will using 'restrict movement' i dont recall where that is set, will that prevent players from moving into areas that open yet? i havent had any luck with that. i trust my players but they're concerned about fat fingering.  We did a test round of the system and a player accidentally  dragged their character to a section on the map that wasnt open yet... cheers - James

"Restrict Movement" will keep them from crossing Dynamic Lighting barriers, yes. If you want to test anything and have super high confidence that it will work as you expect, create a  Dummy Account  and log in as a player under that. If you keep the gm login open under a separate tab or better yet separate browser, you can control conditions live for testing purposes. Read the link for tips.
The "restrict movement" option also works when logged in as a GM if you use Control-L with a token selected to see what that token sees. You can then move that selected token, and the light barriers will restrict its movement.
