Pathfinder One-Shot in the wee hours. Thurs June 5th 0300 CDT U.S "Chicago". (that's GMT -6)

This is a chance for my fellow US late nighters or folks from other points of the globe (English speaking please) to enjoy a lower [4-5 ish] level game without the commitment to a longer running campaign. It also affords me the opportunity to play with new people who also enjoy my hobby. About me: I am in my 5th decade of existance and have enjoyed RPGs (Computer and Tabletop) for over 30 years. I have been on Roll20 for over a year now and have played short games, games that have disintegrated, and long campaigns (one that have lasted over 8 months). I have not DMed much, but that is another reason to host this game, I get to hone my skills while giving back to the Roll20 community by providing an opportunity to play. You can choose from 12 Pregenerated PCs that are already to go in mythweaver. Each PC is fully fleshed out with the information needed to play without having to refer to books, including abilities, gear, and magic. I am hoping this will encourage folks who might not be so good with the crunchy bits of character creation to be able to jump in with a ready to play hero. It is strictly play as is for the characters { No changes or Substitutions }. That being said, the character is generic, meaning you decide their name, alignment, sex, and personality. You know the person who is in trouble, whether you know each other is up to you. The 12 Pregens are as follows: Dwarf Ranger, Elf Rogue, Gnome Druid, Half-Elf Fighter/Conjurer, Halfling Bard, Human Barbarian, Human Cleric, Human Fighter, Human Monk, Human Paladin, Human Sorcerer, Human Wizard. This will be a mix of Role Play and Combat, but will be determined by the players. You have received notice that an old friend/acquaintance has gone missing. The hastily scrawled message mentions missing children, a dilapidated old mansion said to be haunted, and rumors of pirates. I will be using Skype for voice Communication and coordination. I have no interest in showing my face at that time in the morning so I will be keeping it strictly voice only (it also saves on bandwidth usage to help with those who might not have access to a faster net connection). Please PM me if you are interested in joining the adventure. You might consider having two choices for a character since it is first come first served. I would like a party of 4 but will run it even if only two people show.
As of this post I only have one person signed up for the game so don't let the other payers listed keep you from sending in a PM
Things are progressing nicely, I have three people who have expressed interest. I would be willing to run up to six players max, so if you can make it feel free to make a bid for a PC.
Razir said: ... missing children, a dilapidated old mansion said to be haunted, and rumors of pirates. G-g-g-GHOST Pirates?!?! You do mean Thursday morning, right? As in, the night of Wednesday? If so, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring. No real preference as to character; I'll be whatever the party needs that nobody else wanted to pick. Probably cleric if I know players! -Phnord
Yes, we are talking about Very Early Thursday Morning. It would be an honor to have you sir. So far it is a group of three newbies, so if you don't want to have to deal with the uninitiated I will understand. Otherwise you can play what you feel like, since one of the new guys actually wants to try the Human Cleric. If you are still interested send me your skype and PC choice. I will connect you with the game group chat and send you the mythweaver link.
Hey, newbies are fine; sometimes, they're more fun to play with than people who know what they're doing! They're not bogged down by all that 'rules' and 'you can't DO that' nonsense the rest of us carry around... they're unpredictable, and that's FUN! There's a cleric; what are the other people playing? I may make my character's personality "grumpy old veteran" just for fun, once I figure out what else he's gonna be. I'll send ya a PM here in a minute with that info. Mostly, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with that HUGE ASS et collection you've got... I bet your maps are something to see! -Phnord
I would love to join as a fighter or ranger if they are still available. I am from east europe so my english is not perfect and my knowledge of rpg consist of computer games and some reading about so i am pretty noobish.
We have one who wants to be the Monk, the guy who said he wants to be the cleric has not gotten back with me on a skype handle so far but I have high hopes. The other guy has not decided yet, but with a dozen PCs to choose from I hope to see an interesting mix. I am hooking the new guys up with youtube videos on how the basics of character creation work in hopes they will be able to find what they need on the character sheets. I am also suggesting they take a look on the "How to" Roll20 videos.
Well folks that looks to be it for this weeks game. I will post a new game announcement for the week after if things work out on my end. Arthur... if you are still interested then you need to PM me your skype so I can get you connected with the game group chat along with sending you your mythweaver sheet.. I have one guy as a back up to make a full roster of six just in case. I hope to see most of you there, but I will run it even if only two show up. So for those of you interested in the game system and are available in that time slot for the week after, then your chance is coming.
The game was great and I am looking forward to the improvements to be made based on the comments from this team of players.
