Non-native english speakers thread?

Hi! I am a D&D5 player/DM aaand I am looking for a group to play with. I would rather not DM as it is my usual role and I would like to try being in the other side of the table, buuut I am afraid If i join any groups they will reject me for my accent or lack of vocabulary (I mean, I speak english quite well but I am not native). So, if anyone knows about a group that would gladly accept a non-native speaker as a player (or, well, if you are in need of a DM, I have some pretty campaigns ready :D ) I would be happy to join! I don't have /a lot/ of experience but I am familiar with the game and rules. Esto también va para jugadores españoles, si queréis formar un grupo aquí estoy para jugar o mastear, pero no he visto mucha gente española por aquí :(
Truth be told, the market for online spanish D&D is next to non-existant, but good luck. Si alguna vez necesitas a un jugador que habla español, no dudes en mandarme un PM! Lastima que en este momento no puedo "mastear" una campaña, por falta de equipamento.
If you ever need a player pm me. Im not a native speaker too.
Hi! I am also a non-native speaker here (I am Brazilian) and I also feel a little apprehensive about being reject over my accent/vocabulary. If you ever need players (never DMed before sorry), I would love to join a non-english speakers friendly game :)
Hi! Would be interested, too, but only in playing. I never GMed DND before, sorry! I would really fancy a diverse non-native speakers group! Would be fun to start something :) (I am German btw)

I am a monolingual English speaker who has played with ESL player characters. Please do not feel shame over your accent. It helps more than hurts! It makes it easier to tell players apart! We intentionally give our characters all kinds of voices, so if someone has an accent already, that just makes you into a distinguished presence. Of course, I am very happy for you if you find a group that speaks your language but please feel welcome to apply to join any English speaking group at your level of English comprehension. As long as you let the DM know in your application they will tell you if the game will be easier or harder to follow. Actually the more I think about it, roleplaying would be an outstanding way to practice a language. Descriptions are paired with a visual aid, you can explore and ask questions about the battle map. You will not be rejected! Welcome! I hope you all find a great game! :)

Hello everyone! I agree that RPG's have potential to be great language learning tools. I'm actually working on an ELL gaming system with a friend of mine that we're initially aiming at middle schoolers, but would be expanding to other ages if it's successful. We'd be incredibly grateful if you could help us by playing a rough version of the game sometime over the next week and providing us with feedback about how the game plays and how effective you think it is as a language-learning tool.
