Nightvision in an area with emitted dim light

Couldn't find a thread on this so I thought I'd ask if anyone's found a solution. I have one room with emitted dim light that's connected to a hallway in darkness. Any player with night vision in the dim light still sees it as dim light, and there is also an odd border where the area of dim-light meets the darkness, causing an odd effect for players with night vision. In the picture the top room has the emitted dim light and the hallway has darkness. The wizard has night vision so he can see in the dark hallways, but the border between the darkness and the dim light still shows up as a weird radius (shown at the bottom of the stairs).  Here's a second example where I significantly reduced the radius of the dim light. The windows each emit a small radius of dim light, as well as an invisible chandelier on the ceiling. Even with the radius lowered, the odd borders around these light sources still show up to characters with night vision. Anyone know if there's a fix for this?

This is a known bug in Updated Dynamic Lighting. Use the Legacy system for now, there is no workaround for what you're describing. UDL is still in beta, despite the misleading wording in the GUI. For the time being, just use Legacy unless you want to assist with beta testing. It is extremely frustrating that no one in the Roll20 team seems to think the new system needs a very large, very obvious "NOT FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION" warning on it - it is currently nowhere near feature parity. The potential of the new system is exciting, and one day it will be an awesome thing - currently it's a beta feature that had the misfortune to be introduced at the same time as the massive influx of new users due to coronavirus. This will all make sense once you read the linked thread - it's a real shame the hard-working team are having their work cast in an unflattering light by a terrible GUI decision. This is the kind of thing Keith, or one of the other boffins in the Style thread, could fix in 30 seconds. It would just need to be pushed as an update. Post back if you need a hand with the legacy system!
