After the Fall - New D&D 3.5 Campaign

Seeking a player or two for a new 3.5 campaign. I am an experienced DM, but its been about 5 years since I've run a game. My main experience is 2nd Edition and Rifts. This will be the first time I'm running 3.5 and as I said, I'm pretty rusty, so bear with me. Already have 3 players from another campaign I play in. One is pretty new. I'd be willing to run with just them, but if I can find an awesome person or two to fill out the party, that'd be great. As I already have players I trust and know will fit well, I'm going to be pretty picky when auditioning new people. Please be detailed in your posts about your experience, playstyle, schedule, what you want out of a game. There will be no set day/time for sessions as my players have changing schedules. I can't promise that we'll play once a week, but I'd hope for at least once every other. Generally start about 7pm EST and end at 11pm EST, though we frequently go later if players agree. Very flexible. I have no estimated start date as I'm still working on building the world. At least a month, hopefully not much longer. The world is homebrewed. Fantasy with a touch of technology/steampunk. Without going into detail, some years before the start of the campaign, a technological faction claims to have invaded the realm of the gods and killed them. There have been noticeable changes in the world since then. I know a lot of people have pre-generated characters they like to play. I would ask you not to do this for my game. Its so much more interesting to develop a concept with a player, plus my world might affect your options. We have the time before the game starts, no reason to rush. Lets make something cool and fun to play! I'm a pretty lenient, laidback and fair DM. If an idea sounds fun and would make the game better for everyone, I'm all for it. If it doesn't fit the rules, I'll work with you and homebrew something. I'm big on roleplaying/story, but of course there will be combat. So if you think this sounds fun and you're interested in a relaxed, fun atmosphere and willing to wait a bit before we start, post or PM me. Hello, I would be interested, I've been playing off and on for ~20 years. I have skype, and a little experience with roll20. Willing to play pretty much any role, but I prefer melee. I'm available all days except monday/tuesday.

This sounds exactly like the game I have been looking for, for awhile now. I myself am a 22 year old grad student. I have been playing 3.5e for about a year now, but I consider myself a pretty solid veteran since I know a lot about the game and character options. I really like more heavy RP games and after my current DM dropped out due to time constraints, I have been looking for a campaign as fun to fill the gap in between when I DM. If you will have me as a player, I would absolutely love it. I will gladly fill in whatever roll the group needs and write a solid backstory for my character. If you haven't checked it out by the way, take a peak at Eberron Campaign Setting and those books. Eberron is kind of a technomancy/steampunk setting within DnD as is and has some great new races, items, and resources that might fit your campaign very well. I would love to get a game iam not experianced at all really in D&D but i have roll-played before on game but never pen and paper but i love roll-playing I dont have rulebooks but hope thats not a problem i live in the uk but can play anytime and day really, I also have skype and a webcam if thats a need so... hope to hear back from u soon xD
