wtf?...re: 'into the unknown' adventure

cant 'drag and drop', where do you find the pregenerated characters it mentions? where do you enter the feats on the starfinder character sheets? why am i forced to sift thru miles of faq for answers to what should be easy to find...is roll20 only for web developer gamers?

I don't see any mention of pre-generated characters in the Marketplace page. It does mention monsters, there are some on the journals tab, under "Creatures". There are pre-set tokens for them on the token page, or you can drag them to the VTT from the journal tab (make sure you drag from the name, not the "handle" (the art preview to the right of the name--that's used for re-ordering in the list). To add a feat, just drag it from the compendium to the character sheet, and it will automatically add itself to the proper spot. In this case, "Abilities" on the lower right. To read the documentation for the sheet, you can follow this help link .
its not in the marketplace...its in (not in) the free starfinder adventure...into the unknown, which i kinda led with....if you find the pregenerated characters they mention in that module, let me know....
the drag and drop feature you describe isnt functioning here

Even free adventures are listed in the Marketplace, that's where I went to check the description. I just installed the module to test and to find your answers. Drag and drop does work, make sure the character sheet is not popped out into its own window. Here is the result of a drag and drop: And again, I am not finding anything about pre-generated characters. Can you find and post a link for that description? Here is all I saw: What's Inside? All quest assets and information fully integrated for the VTT, including all  monsters for 5 1-hour adventures for level 1 players  and  5 full-color maps  with GM layer information and Dynamic Lighting support (requires  plus / pro subscription ). Is it described as having pre-generated characters within the in-game material?

Ah, interesting. This appears to be a resource of the Starfinder Society, you can find them here . They do not seem to be a part of the module, though. They are also not part of the module in its original form on the Paizo site. Roll20 can only provide what's in the module.

shouldntn haventaken 2 ndays to figure that out..... a 11ft+ long list of frequently asked questions....is indicative of a poorly thought out layout (yes, despite how cool vtt is, this sites layout sucks!) the inital presentation/explanation should provide the information needed, instead of the burden of this information exchange lies upon the user, sifting thru line after line of correspondance looking to see if someone else already covered it. most least effective.....the whole thing needs a makeover by someone other than its web developers...they good with code, but suckin big dick here for presentation. not all gamers work in IT and/or code for a living, which is kinda the way this site is working. one must already somehow have a working knowledge before jumping in on roll20
you have been more helpful in these few posts than the several days ive been exposed to the roll20 scene. tried to join one game (the only one so far, possibly my last), only to sit there for an hour, still trying to find a feature to let me roll up any kind of character, when dude chimes in with "you gotta join a game first to get a character" .......it took 3 days for that..shouldt take three days to find out access to characters is only within a launched game, and that the GM distributes them....how about a paragraph at the beginning  stating something like that? no one was helpful, despite the tag stating new gamers welcome. thats ok, dont know those folks...its not required of them to not be an asshole to me. thats the way freedom works and im diggin' it, i have no desire to impinge upon their freedom to express themselves as assholes if thats what they want. still...im a smart/smart-ass guy and its really pissin me off that this thing is such a pain in the ass to acclimate to... no shit, it has so far been easier to learn all the parts to vivaldis 4 seasons arranged for metal guitar! what im trying to do is put all the movie grade high action adventure gaming originals my group and i have been doing for the past 35 years into action, and if its possible to get a handle on DMming thru this, throw down some  dice and weave some stand out storytelling leaving players, years later, fondly remembering their capers nostalgicly as if they actually happened for real currently running tabletop oldschool ravenlofts 1 and 2 simultaneously(as per the option), but set in realworld 1883. players started in utah rolling up characters for what they still believe is a 'western'. been DMming for over 40 years (never get to play though)...i wanna get into this shit, just wish i didnt need to already possess a job in IT to use roll20 thanx again, didnt mean to impose or sound like a bitch.
how did you get the backgrounds to show up? they are all black for the players even though the DM can see all?
