Show/Hide Switch Board

So I am creating a skill list for a character sheet with all 100 or so skills in a game, but not every character is going to have every skill. Is it possible to have a check box, and the hidden section is not immediately after the checkbox? Essentially I want a switchboard above a table that reveals/hides skills.

Look at either of the Mongoose Traveller sheets, or my Torg Eternity Sheet. (The traveller ones will probably be easier to unravel.) The traveller sheets each have a config section, where you can select which skills are displayed. In the Torg sheet, it is a popup where you select the skills to display.

Also being familiar with the CSS Wizardry wiki page helps here - our sheets both use the show/hide areas technique from there.
