after a break from 3.5 and pathfinder, I'm taking a shot at a 5e cleric

Was thinking of going dwarf, I'm typically fond of elves, but am trying something new.   My major concern upon looking at things is going the light domain, and how much healing I would have?    I'm used to playing a psion or a psi warrior typically.   I never played wizards or clerics usually because I didn't want to be a heal bot. I started character creation but got a little bit overwhelmed by the differences...I ordered the book set but amazon was late, and they haven't arrived friday like they were supposed to and its now Saturday.    Anyone got any tips for the feats and what not?  I just don't want to do a build, and then find out I did something kinda useless unless I intentionally want to do that for RP reasons etc.
You may want to try some of the forums or reddit dedicated to 5e. But if you need how to work roll20 or in this case the character sheets part of the software, you are in the right place.
