[LFP][5E][HOMEBREW] DM looking for players for fairytale themed campaign

Hi! My name is Maggie and I really really want to create a campaign based on fairytales and dm it. Like multiple different fairy tales living in one world. I'm open to pretty much an genre from mystery noire, to high fantasy, to a more modern setting, to horror themed. I want to build a world with the players and make it to fit your characters. I have dmed before but not a lot. I'm a fast learner and extremely enthusiastic. I know the description is a bit vague but i want to work out the details with you! This sounds very cool. Name: Travis Age: 35 Timezone: US PST (GMT -8) Character Idea: A no-nonsense Half-Elf Ranger (Gloom Stalker) who serves as a guide as well as monster hunter and scout for whoever is willing to pay her and stay out of her way while she's doing her job.

Christopher 36 - played way back when then didnt for like 18 years, started playing 5E right before the quarantine. so pretty fresh here. dwarven cleric, forge domain. He's always been a battlefield medic so he has a morbid sense of human, as he is constantly around death.

Jerald Age: 22 Timezone: EST I'm open to working with you in creating a characters. I'm somewhat experience in D&D but it has been so long since I've played that I'll need a little help at the beginning until I get my rhythm back. I tend to stick to spell casters or utility characters, such as a Half-Elf Wizard that is a very smart inventor but his inability to read social queues makes him somewhat awkward. Or a Human Bard that has spend his entire life mastering instruments left handed, but only has a right hand as of recent, trying to find purpose again.

She has a hard time getting financially ahead because her family is VERY large for some reason. ALT Character idea: Red Wolf-- Human rouge who claims to be raised by wolves and has an affinity for breaking into homes.

Name: Josh Age: 20 Time Zone: EST Character Idea: A Goliath Blood Hunter, he's a member of his town's guard and has enrolled in their fighting school once he turned 18, training to become a Blood Hunter, specifically Order of the Profane Soul.  Still working on the character a bit, so it's not quite finished yet, but I can have it down relatively soon!

This sounds pretty fun and interesting! Name: James Age: 26 Time Zone: GMT+10 Character Idea: A Grung Wild Magic sorcerer, formerly human blacksmith. After finding a magical firefly that could help light up his forges, he quickly found himself at the hands of a Fae curse for exploiting the poor creature, and wound up as a tiny, gooey frog. The firefly felt kind of bad about the whole thing though, so now the two of them are off on a quest to break the curse, and restore him to his former self. They have no idea how to do it, but it probably involves snogging a Princess.

Hello! Your idea sounds very interesting, I doubt you have a spot open considering how many people have shown interest, however, I'd like to recommend a system that might work well with your idea. The system I have in mind is called FATE, I think both the Core version and the Accelerated version would work very well for the world you're imagining. It's a system that really encourages roleplaying, getting to the core of not only your own character but also the rest of your party. Give it a look and see if it looks like something you'd like to use. Oh, and if there's a spot open I'd of course love to join ^^

One of my specific character ideas I’ve created is a tabaxi horizon walker ranger. She is a bounty hunter who specializes in tracking fiends and creatures from other planes. She has spent so much time traveling between planes that she sometimes spaces out and forgets what dimension she is in. Let me know if I am a good fit for your group.
