Inability to Link Characters and Tokens

I'm a new GM trying to start a home brew Savage Worlds STAR WARS campaign. I have been banging my head against the wall--and the documentation--for about a day now, trying to figure out how to grant my players control of their characters. I've created character sheets for them and found some artwork for their tokens, which I've successfully dragged onto the board, named, rotated, etc. I've been able to assign a token to a particular PLAYER--but when I try to set the token to a specific CHARACTER, the token data states that control is determined by the character permissions. Great, but HOW DO I GRANT THE PERMISSIONS? I can't find a field anywhere in the character sheet (currently the Savage Worlds Tabbed one) where I can indicate that a character belongs to a certain player. All my players have signed up to my game and all of them but one have visited the VTT. Why can't I link the player, the character, and the token? I've read and re-read the documentation, to no avail. What am I doing wrong? Thanks very much for any help you can provide! --Steve

Click the Edit button at the top of the character sheet journal window. You'll find fields for granting control, in-journal, and editing rights. Also, make sure when setting up the default token that it is the last step you do. If you make any changes to the default token after a save, they won't be there next time you pull out a copy.
Thanks! I'll have a look right now!
Keithcurtis, YOU ROCK! I followed your directions and was able to assign permissions to all my players! Thanks, and may the Force be with you--always! --Steve
