Star Weird is a homebrewed science fantasy setting of my creation. It is intended to be bright and colorful in tone. Having fantastical technology able to span the stars or... materialize a pizza in seconds. Every kind of alien creature one could imagine can be found within the setting as players can create their own alien race or choose from a number of already made races. The system will be the Genesys generic rpg system by Fantasy Flight Games. The characters will be working as private contractors hired out by megacorps, pirates, planetary governments, etc, to do the tasks they just don’t want to do themselves. Where the game goes after that will be up to the players. Will you be the feared space pirates that prey on the defenseless space hulks traveling the stars or perhaps the governor of a small colony at the edge of known space soon to discover you are not the first to call your planet home. The stars are the limit and you are the pilot. This game is a pay to play game set at $10 per session per player though paypal and the first two sessions are free. I am wanting 5 or 6 players but will start with less. Information TIme: I am looking to play every Wednesday night at 6:00PM central but that could change to a different weekday easily. Length of the Campaign: As long as the players wish to keep playing. Session Length: 4 Hours About me : I am a professional Game Master with 5 years of GM experience. I currently run three games each week, two of which are pay to play games. Most of my experience is in running Dungeon and Dragons, Star Wars Edge of the Empire, and the Genesys Generic RPG in that order. I am very fond of Homebrew in settings and game rules. I use many of my own rules in my D&D games. My game style is very heavy on roll play and I often give my players time to talk to each other and NPCs. My combat is challenging to the players and will require some thought. Death is very much a thing in my games. I also run a sandbox game and what I mean by that is you choose where the game goes. I have in the past given my players a grand goal to achieve but how they go about achieving that goal is up to them. I am very fond of giving my players organization to lead weather that be a mercenary company or a guild out to gain as much coin as possible. As a player I know I am very picky and have left many games I think most would enjoy because of how picky I am. Session Zero: Before all my games I will have a session zero, where I and the players will talk about the game, what we wish to see in the game, make characters, and discuss what everyone is and is not comfortable with being in the game.
