The holy city of Elturel has disappeared from the Forgotten Realms and descended into Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells. This event came about as the result of an infernal bargain between the archdevil Zariel, who rules Avernus, and the treacherous High Overseer of Elturel, Thavius Kreeg. Zariel is capturing cities and using their citizens as fodder in the ongoing conflict between demons and devils known as the Blood War. Next on Zariel’s list of cities is Elturel’s neighbor, Baldur’s Gate. The characters can be the heroes who descend into Avernus, save Elturel from certain destruction, and prevent a similar fate from befalling Baldur’s Gate. Playtime: (We are looking to start Next Thursday which is July 2nd) -Playtime will be Thursdays starting ~10pm EDT and will last a few hours. -This module will be ran mostly as written. This module is a long term campaign possibly taking several months. -We will talk on discord so a mic is a must. Character: Official WoTC classes and Races (This DOES NOT include UA with the exception of Ranger.) Have a backstory stating why you are in Baldur's Gate or Visiting Baldur's Gate New and experience players welcome just be mature. Group Cohesion to a successful long term campaign and thus I typically will not allow in-game combat between pc's. This does little except disrupt the flow of the story and in game events. This module can be deadly. I will not simply save your character if the dice roll out of your favor. This game is deadly and I will run my game as such. It is always good practice to have a backup rolled up in the event that your character cannot be revived by any means. About the DM- I am newer to D&D having only gotten into it the past few years. I do my best to play by the rules but as Barbossa said to Miss Swann " They are more like guidelines". That being said, I will not be pissy if I am wrong about a rule and told so by the group. I have ran an entire Curse of Strahd Campaign and currently run another BG:DiA Campaign. I like to have fun and I enjoy trying to make the game challenging for the players.
