I'm just setting up to start running the Kingmaker AP for PFRPG for a new online group and, whilst I haven't used Roll20 'in anger' yet, I'm liking the system so far. I've hit a couple of script crashes using the background tiling feature to cover large area but we're still in beta so glitches are to be expected. The one problem I'm having with Roll20 is with the drawing system. It seems simultaneously bare bones and clunky. Here's a quick rundown of the things that I keep stubbing my toes on: 1. No eraser tool. The select and delete function feels very clunky and its to easy to select the wrong drawing accidentally 2. No shape or fill tools. I've gotten used to maptool which makes drawing rooms, rivers, etc very easy. Roll20 makes everything else easier but constructing maps from scatch much harder. 3. The drawing tool resets to default when you deselect it. This seems small until you combine it with a lack of an eraser or undo function. The drawing tool really should remember your previous color and brush size settings. 4. Tokens dropped onto the map when the draw tool is selected don't count as tokens. I can see myself losing a lot of time to this one. Why can't tokens be tokens regardless of which tool is selected? Suggestions: Please expand the draw functionality to include quick shape, fill and eraser tools and allow the tools to remember prior settings. Could objects in the game be given a tick-box to give them token status? That would allow tokens dropped in with the drawing tool to be given health bars etc and would also allow drawn objects to be given those attributes if required by simply checking the box in the menu.
