Deadlands 20th anniversary

Are there any resources for this? Character Sheets, Card sets, macos that roll dice, have exploding dice, and  show raises, Macro for location dice? Anything?

It looks like there are a couple Deadlands Anniversary sheets in the drop down list when you create a game.  Did you check those out?
I'm just starting to play in Deadlands again (after playing the original ages ago). I'm the author of the Deadlands Classic Anniversary - Improved sheet. Let me know what you'd like added as I'm actively developing it and would love the feedback!
I don't see where those are, can you be more specific please?\

If you haven't already created a bunch of characters, you can still choose that sheet in game settings.  You can get to the game settings from the game launch page (where the big pink launch button and campaign forum are found).  If you have made a bunch of characters using a different sheet, you might be better off creating another game, because the attributes on the sheet (where info is stored) will almost certainly be different.  So you will have "ghost" info stored on attributes that won't be visible on the new sheet.

Let me know what you'd like added as I'm actively developing it and would love the feedback! Hey the exploding dice feature, it will only explode once. So when I roll cognition, and I get a ten, it rolls again, but another ten and it does not. Can that be fixed?
I have the sheet pulled up, set to 5d10 and it's exploding correctly... It took a few rolls but I was able to get a 25 (that's 2 explosions on the die). Not seeing any flat 10s or 20s which would indicate a problem. Are you on the Improved sheet or the original?
All of our sheets are now not working. It jammed all of the traits and attributesto the right of the page
Apologies for the error, this is impacting my game (tomorrow) as well. There was a merge conflict with the sheet that was incorrectly cleaned up. I noticed it start of the week and immediately put in a new pull request with the fix as well as contacting Roll20 support asking for an emergency merge. Unfortunately, I have not heard back from their support team about merging the fix in. You can track the issue here:&nbsp; <a href="https://github.com/Roll20/roll20-character-sheets/issues/6730" rel="nofollow">https://github.com/Roll20/roll20-character-sheets/issues/6730</a> . At this point, unless their support team merges it early as requested, normal merges will happen Monday night and be ready Tuesday morning (this impacts my game as well). As a, not very good, workaround... Pro members can use custom character sheets and the fixed version (as well as pre-release in general) can be copy/pasted from&nbsp; <a href="https://github.com/Baledin/roll20-character-sheets/tree/deadlands-classic-anniversary-improved" rel="nofollow">https://github.com/Baledin/roll20-character-sheets/tree/deadlands-classic-anniversary-improved</a> .&nbsp; Again, apologies for the error. This was the first time I've had a project run into a git conflict and thought that I had modified the files correctly.
Do you know of any way to roll dice and have exploding, but have it give the highest not the total
Use !!k1 after rolling, the !! explodes and the k1 keeps the highest one. As far as I know however, it won't give you the die roll (i.e. 8+8+4 = 12), it will just show the total for that die roll (12 in this example).
thanks! I don't suppose you know how to make a macro for that that asks for number and dice type? Trying to play right now!
I honestly haven't played with macros terribly much yet... but that functionality should be on the toolbar on the left side. Looks like a die and will let you roll any number of dice. Otherwise, you could try saving the following to a macro: /roll ?{Number of dice|1}d?{Die type|d4,4|d6,6|d8,8|d10,10|d12,12|d20,20}

Thanks to have fixed the character sheet display bug. Now everything seems fine again. However, I seems to have found a problem in a macro... Can&nbsp; you have a look at it ? It happens with my Huckster character. All spells works fine, except for the Mien-based hexes. When I click on the roll icon at the right of the hex, it shows this : No character was found for 'miendtype!!k1+(@{Angus Wilmore' No attribute was found for @{Angus Wilmore|wound_mod)} SyntaxError: Expected ",", ".", "[", "d", "e", "t", "}", [ |\t], [+|\-|*|\/|%] or [0-9] but "m" found. It only happens when I use a Mien-based hex. Not for the other attributes... Thanks in advance !
I'll take a look at it, asap
It looks like the closing } was missing from the Mien die type. I've put in a patch but it likely won't be live until next Monday night/Tuesday morning.

Just setting up a game using Deadlands Anniversary Improved. &nbsp;There seems to be a problem with the Rituals dice rolling under the rituals tab. &nbsp;Similar syntax error as the above Huckster problem. &nbsp;It also seems to not recognise using the ritual skill roll as well. &nbsp;Fantastic sheet btw. &nbsp;Love the combat shortcuts.
I'll take a peek at it! Should be able to get the fix in tomorrow's merge. Also, in regards to combat shortcuts, I'm hoping to get weapon damage into chat (so, roll to hit then prompt to roll for damage). If I manage this, I would move the weapon attack rolls and hit location into the weapon block as well. Does that sound like something folks would want?
The only problems I found were the Mien dtype again (I had copy/pasted that block throughout Arcane so double-checked them all this time). Otherwise, I didn't see any problems with Rituals. Are you sure there is a value in Ritual under Traits &amp; Aptitudes &gt; Special? (I put it there to keep all trait/apts together).
The Mien dytype errors should all be fixed. @Darren, please let me know if this fixed your issues (and/or if it was a 0lvl aptitude which SHOULD never happen if you're a shaman/hexslinger)

It did work excellently.&nbsp; Thank you very much.&nbsp; I've only just started Github type stuff so am new to coding and can only fix basic errors myself lol.&nbsp; There are two other things I have noticed but I don't want to "be that guy", but i suppose someone has to be ;)&nbsp; The Guts+Grit button doesnt work properly always rolls 0, poor guys lol.&nbsp; Also the aptitudes, Throwin skill when you try to add the aptitude it does something funny and rolls as Speed Load.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; That sounds great roll to hit then roll Damage (it would make it similar to the D&amp;D 5e sheet).&nbsp; I understand how much a pain playtesting stuff can be and finding errors, so I admire your patience and understanding for us peeps here pointing out errors.
Hi Darren, sorry for the delay in responding. It looks like these issues were both fixed in my latest pull request. You should see them Monday night/Tuesday morning when they merge the PR in. Throwing actually had two repeating sections--the first had Speed Load the second was the generic section so it was easy to miss it there. I've also added a check for Unskilled Rolls... if a trait has a 0 level, it will automatically use the parent dtype with the -4 modifer.

That's awesome, thanks.&nbsp; If i find anymore shall I let you know?&nbsp; Like I said before, I don't want to keep pestering you.&nbsp; I'm only asking as I'm quite passionate about Deadlands as a game, almost as much as Shadowrun (that I've been playing since 1st Edition).&nbsp; We start in a couple of weeks with a crazy team of Two Hucksters, one Shaman and a Gunslinger.
Please do, I'm a one-man army on this so the more folks who can test it out and let me know issues, the better. I would ask that folks post a new&nbsp; Issue &nbsp;on the project repository however as it simplifies things slightly for me (not to mention quite a bit more noticeable).&nbsp;

Hey, the dice roller on our sheets seems way off. The exploding is often wrong and the number of dice on scrutinize, cognition at least and I think more. The 3d dice show one thing, the chat total is different and sometimes it rolls the wrong dice.
Interesting, I don't use the 3d dice at all so I'm not sure how accurate those things would be. Can you get me a list of where the inaccuracy is appearing and if it's just 3d dice or all times?&nbsp; michael c. said: Baledin said: It looks like the closing } was missing from the Mien die type. The 3D dice differing from chat is a known Roll20 issue that happens sometimes. Most games choose to use the chat results as the authoritative result.

The way you phrased this makes it sound like 3d dice rolls and chat dice rolls are inconsistent, and this is not the case. 3d dice and chat dice are always the same. It's just that some sheets' rolltemplates hide some of the dice rolled, so you dont see all of the dice in chat. That can make it look like they are rolling differently, but they aren't. If chat showed all dice rolled, the results would be identical.

That's likely the inconsistency here, the roll template just shows the exploded result. I'm not sure what the 3d dice would show in this instance, waiting for Michael C. to respond again.

What is wrong with the exploding dice roll? There are two ways to create an exploding dice roll: /roll 1d6! /roll 1d6!! Let's say you roll a 6, then a 3. With both methods, 3d chat will show two dice, one 6 and one 3. In chat, if you make the roll using the /roll command, they will be different: the first will show two dice, and then the total. The second will show a single die, with a roll of 9. However, using a roll template, they will both show a single result of 9, but if you mouse over the result, you'll see the two methods above. Is that whats happening? Or is something else happening?

It is a rare instance, but it does happen, even when no roll template is in use. See this thread: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/4026859/dice-on-the-screen-dont-match-the-dice-on-the-chat-window" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/4026859/dice-on-the-screen-dont-match-the-dice-on-the-chat-window</a> I do not remember seeing a note about this ever being marked as "Fixed!", but I could be wrong. Either way, it is probably not an issue with the sheet.
@GiGs In Deadlands, we use /roll 1d6!!k1 (die type and number change depending on roll) for just about everything. In chat, this is just showing the one die result, and on mouse-over it will show the other die results but not the breakdown (which is easy enough to figure out). I'll leave it to Michael C. to specify exactly what behavior he's getting as I haven't personally observed it.

For michael's problem, my guess is the cause is misreading of the chat roll. It's easy to misunderstood the way !! rolls work and misread the result. Several people over the years have done so. If he can post a screenshot replicating the problem, that would help a lot.
