Thanks for checking out my LFP! The Highlights: NEED ONE MORE PLAYER! NEW PLAYERS ARE WELCOME!!! Ages: 18+ 2pm-6pm, Sundays (Central Daylight Time GMT-5) Game: Swords & Wizardry Tools: Discord & Roll20 Designer: Frog God Games System: OSR D20 (OD&D) Theme: Medieval Dark Fantasy. Experience: Blades in the Dark, 40K Dark Heresy, Lamentations of the Flame Princess I want everyone to be respectful to each other and be as interested in other's characters as your own! The Pitch: "Deep in the wooded wilderness, the village of Grimmsgate in an outpost town on a seldom-traveled trail, right at the edge of nowhere. The village’s half-ruined temple of Law, dilapidated inn, drunken blacksmith, exiled trader and a few fur-trappers are enough to keep the bloody-minded denizens of the dark forest at bay, but nobody really expects the village to still be there in another ten years. The woods have become too dangerous for the trappers who once caught animals for fur, and merchants no longer travel the poorly-maintained road. What great evil and what fabulous treasures are to be found in these lands? A brave band of adventurers might make their fortunes here. Or perhaps they might never return…" We'll be starting with a romp through Grimmsgate a starting module for Swords & Wizardry. During that, I'll be looking at potential modules to incorporate once the players have a few levels under their belt and seeing where interests lie. About me: Hi, my name is Chris. I've been GMing for a few years now. I've cut my teeth on the Fantasy Flight Games 40K games, Deathwatch, Dark Heresy First Edition and Only War. I also have experience running the incredible Kevin Crawford's (Sine Nomine Publishing) Godbound, Lumpley Games' Apocalypse World, UFO Press' Rhapsody of Blood, Fria Ligan's Coriolis The Third Horizon, and the eponymous Lamentations of the Flame Princess. I love crunchy simulationist games and I love narrative rules-lite games. I can be crude, but I try to be sincere and jovial as much as possible. I love OSR games, especially based off early D&D. The focus on exploration and overcoming obstacles using wit over sword keeps me coming back for more. Expectations: My expectations are simple. Be respectful of everyone at the virtual table. Let everyone have their time in the spotlight. Be respectful of everyone's time, we all set aside a substantial piece of our week to meet together and no call no shows and last minute schedule changes are very frustrating. Be courteous and inform me in advance when possible. If any player becomes uncomfortable with something in a scene, speak up, we will pause, and fade to black. If there are more concerns regarding table conduct or information about the game, feel free to ask! Thank you for your time.
