Hello! My name is Nick and thanks for reading. My friend Robert and I recently had our Friday game rescheduled, and due to scheduling conflicts, we are now looking for a new game to join on Friday nights. We are in our 30s, and both are experienced with 5e, and roleplay in general. The games we lean towards are homebrews that allow for plenty of roleplaying and take into account character backstories, to try and weave them into the larger narrative arcs. We're hoping to find a consistent group to play with, and are both very respectful of others. You will come to find we like to laugh and have a good time, and generally are laid back and get along well with just about everyone. We also love to do character voices, and tend to get pretty in-character, so expect some memorable (or horrible but funny) accents! We are primarily looking to play a gnome bard and half-orc druid, but we are open to filling the needs of a party. Below are our quick character blurbs: David Bafflestone, Lore Bard Forest Gnome David always had a knack for the natural magics of the world, studying lore at a young age. As he got older, he spent his days in his forest, using his abilities to help adenturers and travelers in need, as well as the local wildlife. One day, David found an abandoned half-orc baby in the woods. With no one to care for it, David took the baby back to his clan and raised it as if it were his own. Acting as a big brother to the half-orc, David taught him what he knew of the woodlands, and always inspired him to never give up on the things he wanted to achieve. When the half-orc came of age, the desire to leave the nest came to him, and so David and the half-orc began to travel, learning about the world around them, while continuing to help those in need.
David has a small flute that he uses to cast his spells, and a love for all things nature. He also likes reading a good book, or conversing with squirrels and fish. But at the end of the day, David tries to instill good morals in the half-orc and others around him, so that the world can become a better place. If there is one thing David doesn't like, its a bully. Adverse to violence, David will attempt to subdue his adversaries by other means, often outwitting them. Zed Bafflestone, Moon Druid Half-Orc Zed Bafflestone, a circle of the moon druid that was raised by gnomes in the forest, since he was abandoned as a child. Zed is quite different from what some people might think other members of his race would be; he is polite, he likes to ponder about nature and other creatures and loves drinking tea and look at the stars. His “big brother” David, taught him so much about the forest but as Zed started to grew larger, they decided it was good for the half-orc to “know other places and people”, so they started to wander the land and exploring other settlements, meeting different people. Zed loves his brother and usually hates fighting, so he uses his powers as a druid and combat abilities only as a last resort and does not kill without need. He enjoys shapeshifting into bears, wolves, foxes and other woodland creatures, not only for combat, but to experience nature as the animals would so he can learn from them. If you catch the reference for our characteres, then kudos to you! If you think we'd make a good fit, or want to discuss more, please feel free to contact me via discord at lizardwizard#2976. Thanks again for taking the time to read this.
