Okay. Well I know I said half-elf, but can I go human, lv2 Barbarian, lv2 Druid circle of the moon? Using PHB here. Variant human rules to start with the charger feat, and my idea is basically raging wild shape with barbarian unarmored defense. Kind of a tank, but also, I guess, a fragile spell caster and healer outside of that if and when wild shapes are depleted. Backstory is he used to be the son of a rich architect, an almost noble as it were. A well educated, prodigy son, when the boy turned sixteen, he'd take on the task of designing and constructing the new reaches of an upcoming city based in the heart of an ancient forest. This, unfortunately, ends up going south as the spirits of the wood eventually rise up, pushing back against the ever encroaching logging efforts and, with it, both Bruceus and his works would find themselves torn down. Merciful however, given the boys young age, rather then simply killing him, the spirits instead cast Bruceus into the heart of the woods, cursing him with savagery and animal forms, making him a lost pariah that can't always control the transformations. Years pass and, whilst the boy has to learn quickly how to survive in the wild, begging for some teaching from the more lenient spirits, eventually he'd learn control enough to let him live and survive at the edges of society.
