I'm new to roll 20 and am looking for players new or veteran, the game is will start at lvl 5 and i allow all source book subclasses as well as hombrew if its balanced and you show me the character a where you got it, I encourage the creativity. The campaign is dnd 5e and will take place in different taverns each session. If you need help learning 5e I can teach you the basics. This is a short campaign to screen players for a bigger one i'm planning. please post a character application below if interested i'll invite you. leave a message and i'll invite you to the discord server.
I'll bite.
Which time zone would this be in? I am looking for something like this, but I'm in Europe, which somewhat limits my options.
I was thinking a warforge druid that was created by a hermit halfling to help watch over his forest and protect it. When the halfling died he freed the warforge from his duties and now he wonders from place to place protecting the land from demons that would corrupt it. Just an idea, let me know if this would work for you.
I was thinking of playing a fairy warlock, I'll put the link at the bottom, that had her clan destroyed by a forest fire and is now roaming the world of man trying to fill the void in her heart. Also knowing the timezone this is going to be planned for would be great. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Fairy_(5e_Race)%23:~:text%3DAn%2520enchanted%2520race%2520born%2520of,tiny%2520folk%2520of%2520the%2520Feywild.%26text%3DThese%2520childlike%2520sprites%2520have%2520a,nature%27s%2520immature%2520answer%2520to%2520elves.&ved=2ahUKEwjliffakrTqAhV9knIEHSkBB7cQFjABegQIChAF&usg=AOvVaw3K5XFK3l9kfBp_Xz4Oe1cR
I have a character idea in mind that I could go for, if you're still looking for people. Name: Darr-rol 'The darkness bringer' Actual Name: Darol Hillswin Race: Vanilla Human (Boring, I know) Class: Warlock Backstory summary: The way most infernal cults work is this; You have a group, they make sacrifices and devotions praising a particular devil or fiend and, through contract, said planar creature(s) grants boons and powers to its followers. The larger the cult, the safer and more secure this arrangement is. You have people who can provide alibis. You have people on the inside, keeping the law off of you and the like. Shadowy liaisons between different members can be held at a different person's house each week. You get the cool cloaks and hoods. You can keep it going, perhaps even as a generational thing and, of course, if someone does gets caught, the rest of the group can, usually, easily, slip quietly into the shadow of the night. So naturally there are upsides to it... ignoring the damnation of one's eternal soul, forfeit of all redemption for the pre-determined period of eternity, etc... But, that said, such a thing is, strangely enough, the safer option and, as a downside, when such an endevour is taken by a group, it is to all the members of that group that the power, the otherworldly knowledge, and prestige, has to be divided. It's a slower ascension to power then what one would experience as a lone worshiper and warlock, but you're also less likely to be cut down by the local templars one day as you walk down the street. That said, not everything is without its risks and so, one of the twists that can come with all this is, when eventually said paladins of the holy orders do finally track you and your order down, you run the risk of the last man standing, the last possible reciprocal to this boons and gift, being someone like Darol. And what could be said of Darol? Well, Darol unfortunately is the new guy and the only reason he wasn't there when the rest of the order was wiped out, was because the ritual that night was running late, and Darol had to run home to check on his Grandma. Darol is not a dark, brooding, sophisticated murderer as the patron of this order might have otherwise wished for. Instead, Darol is the "Dark" and "Brooding" teen/young adult, who rather than finding himself steeped in shadows and blood, was instead the guy who turned up for the meetings (at the insistence of his gran-gran who looked after and raised him) with cookies and the fantasy equivalent of tupperware. Which is not to say that Darol doesn't have a heart for the dark and the twisted. Oh no, not at all. Darol is very much the guy who shuns colourful tea cosies and the knitted scarves his grandma makes for him. He prefers skulls and the macabre, even has a cool dagger and everything. He dyes his hair black, lets it grow long over one eye, and likes the sound of being called 'the destroyer' or 'the dark knight of the twisted prince'... *You can imagine a long, deep, tired, and frustrated sigh of an Archfiend here.* And so, with payment already having been made on the mortal end of this, and contract locked in, a tired Archfiend has to put up with the fact that the only remaining follower, the single focus into which he has to pour his gifts and boons, is in fact, this guy. A young man, who'd only joined the cult as a misguided youth, a guy with no friends looking for a group to guide him and take him in. A young man who, despite everything else, nonetheless, still just barely qualifies as a 'member of the cult of ... to whom all gifts and boons are hereby relinquished and bequeathed in exchange for...' And, as for the future... Well, one can only hope this little twerp will get himself into some stupid trouble one day, dies, and by the grace of Asmodeus, finally releases those boons in exchange for the freedom of his soul. Source books : Going to go with basic PHB on this, maybe cross-class to a level of wild magic sorcerer as the 'dark magics of the unspeakable one warp and transform the body to a perfect form.' Question: Also UK here, so I don't know how the time zones would work. Going to be going physically back to work soon, so I could probably only do the evenings (every day except Thursday and Friday, because stuff.) Hope that'd still work for people.
I suppose I should share my character concept as well, just in case the time zone does work out. And even if it does not, it is fun reading the ideas other people have. Name : Beatrice Class : Paladin Race : Human? Backstory : Beatrice used to be an ordinary person with ordinary dreams. An apprentice baker from a typical town, she had long since left childhood fantasies of brave heroes behind her. Until one day her friend showed her a fancy deck of cards, and told her to shuffle them and draw one. That night she had a dream of her father, of the day he had given her her first sword and a lesson on how to use it. Only after waking up she realized how strange it had been, as her father was but a carpenter and had never held a sword in his life. But the stranger thing was that at the foot of her bed she found the sword from her dream, and picking it up, she knew how to handle it. She continued to draw more cards with her friend, and more dreams followed. In them she became a paladin, and she remembered the pride she had felt after taking her oath even after waking. Excited for more, she drew one more card, and this time the dream was different. She and her fellow paladins had cornered an evil sorcerer, and in his desperation he wielded wild magic against them. She saw a blast aimed at herself, braced for it... and suddenly woke gasping. But something felt off, very off. She looked down. She looked behind her. And what she saw was the body of a horse. It would take her days before she even knew what she had become, and no magic could dispel her transformation. Finally a visiting pilgrim directed her to a distant temple dedicated to a long forgotten saint. There she learned of the legend of the centaur Justine, whose life she had seen glimpses of in the cards, and of the order of centaur knights she had founded, each member having willingly used the cards to be transformed. But the order was now long gone, the cards having been stolen centuries ago, and if they had ever known how to reverse the transformation, the knowledge was now lost. Since then Beatrice has become an adventurer, trained and armed by the temple with additional help from the cards, and she travels the world in search of... what exactly? The temple hopes her to revive the order, and not only that, but to revive her species in the process. To do it, she has to become a hero and inspire others to join her. Where do you even start? Source : Homebrew. Mostly to be able to do centaur things, like carry another player on her back, and struggle with stairs. It would also be interesting to play the first of a race for once, rather than the last.
The centaur knight looks interesting. I think there might actually be some rules out there for centaurs. Perhaps the ones I found here on dnd5e.wiki?
Hello, I would love to play! I want to try out a different race then I normally play such as a Hobgoblin, Kobold, LizardFolk or even a Yuan-Ti. I’m definitely interested in playing with a unique race such as these and I hope I can play with you.
