Campaign Info: For the past couple years, settlers have come from Waterdeep and Neverwinter to resettle the ruins of Old Phandalin. A once proud and thriving human town was decimated by an orc horde that came through the area centuries ago leaving nothing but death and ruin. But it could be thriving once again with hard work and determination of these settlers. Their hard work is threatened as orcs have been seen wandering the lands again. Monstrosities whose names that settlers dare not speak lurk in the darkness. The woods that were always dangerous have taken on an aura of evil that frightens even the bravest of warriors. But are they just the dangers that come with the territory or are they symptoms of something worse to come? Sessions will be 3 hours long on Tuesday from 7pm-10pm EST. We will be using Discord for voice chat and Roll20 for the game. This campaign is setup to take players from level 1 to level 7. There are more modules if any players wanted to go beyond that. I’ve been playing D&D for a while now and thought I’d take a shot at slipping behind the screen and becoming the frenemy of a group of adventures. My main goal is to make this fun for everyone, I'm capable of being flexible with the rules as long as you can justify it so if you come up with a new and inventive way to use a spell or approach a situation and I’ll let you do it no problem but ill thought out shenanigans can leave you in a tight spot. So, in short, smart tactics are rewarded and dumb tactics can have bad results and all actions may have unforeseen consequences. I’ll definitely try to roleplay NPC’s as best as possible but I’m no Matt Mercer. About You: I’d prefer newcomers so we can learn together but will accept anyone who is patient and can overlook a few mistakes as I get the hang of running things on the DM side of Roll20. No disruptive or rude behavior will be tolerated between players or towards the GM.
