Help!!! All folder content suddenly out of folders

I´m shocked and disappointed at the same time.  I was working for the last 4 hours as GM in our campaign game.  I was creating some sub-folders in a folder and they didn´t appear. So I reloaded the page - assuming a glitch - and yes, after reload the subfolders appeared. I started adding a few handouts until I realized the following: After the reload _ all other content _ was taken from all folders and now appears alphabetically below the folders. Yes, around I guess a 1000 individual entries, meticulously ordered, either through bought modules or created by me, in folders and subfolders are now in a completely unusable alphabetical fashion.  Really, how can something like this even happen??? Given that in the 4 hours of preparing I encountered around 5 other annoying bugs, I´m seriously starting to regret both my pro-subscription and all the money that I put into the compendium. Roll20 is becoming _horrible_ to use.... Given the situation above: How can this absolutely horrible folder bug be resolved AND how can I be sure that something like that won´t happen again? Do I have to play and prepare now always afraid that at any time something like this can happen? I´m really disappointed by roll20.... bugs over bugs over bugs over bugs is the current state... :-/

As a pro user, you could try a rollback, assuming you are talking about the Journal tab. I have had some success with those, but also catastrophic failure. Make a copy of your game first. Also, not that it helps now, but did you have another game active, or another instance of the game active in a separate tab or window? Having multiple games open can lead to that sort of result. You have my sympathies. That sucks.

I have tons of normal work to and I´m carving out precious time to prepare my games whenever possible. This is a horror.  I have had some success with those, but also catastrophic failure. Make a copy of your game first. That does not sound very reassuring... What a great "pro-feature"... No, I did not. You have my sympathies. That sucks. Thanks. But this is an absolute no-go. I´m starting not to care anymore how much money I have already put into roll20. Reliability that a campaign actually stays usable is the _minimum_ requirement for a VTT. I don´t care about more compendium content, about Ui, whatever, in contrast to this. This is really, really, really bad.

I lost all the work that I did today, 4 hours of token management, creating new NPCs and battlemaps. I have now exactly the status that I had before working on the campain today... This turned from catastrophic to highly, highly, highly annoying.

I'm glad you got some of your work back. Sorry that you lost what you did. If I could get back the hours lost from system crashes and program fails, I'd be a happy person.

I know that there is no bug-free software but the status-quo of roll20 is really bad. I think there should be more pressure by the paying customers to improve things. I´m not happy at all atm with roll20...
I have experienced this bug too, it really needs to be identified and nullified asap. Along with the myriad of other bugs. Roll20 should stop coming up with new fancy features and instead go back and shore up what they have imo.

Especially since adding new features into the buggy software will just amplify problems and will making solving the bugs just harder and harder...
