Can't drop spells onto specific character sheet (5th ed roll20 official sheet)

Howdy, I cannot drop spells from the compendium onto one specific player's sheet in a campaign. Neither the player nor myself can add spells to this sheet (so completely different computers/setup) The sheet is not popped out. The checkbox in settings for popping out sheets is not checked. Have tried copying the sheet, doesn't help. During the same session, I was able to add a spell to a different player's sheet and I was able to add an item to that player's sheet, just not a spell. Using the Official 5th ed character sheet by Roll20 Browser: Chrome Windows 10 All updated No extensions enabled when testing. The player is a druid with an involved wildshape rollable table token w/ macro but I don't see how that should cause problems with spell drops on the character sheet. Are you sharing your compendium with your players in that game?

Are you sure you're trying to drop the spell to the druid characters sheet when it's displaying the Player Character info? If they are using a NPC sheet for the shape-shifting, the there need to be checked a checkbox that enables spells on an NPC sheet. Are either of you able to manually add spells to the sheet? Does any kind of drag-n-drop to the sheet work? Have you checked the settings for the sheet in case it has compendium compatibility turned off in some form?

Yes I am sharing compendium and I know it's working because another player was able to add new spells himself. But I've tried to add them myself anyway so it doesn't really matter. I'm trying to drop the spells onto the actual player character sheet, not an npc monster sheet. As I noted in the post, I can drop items to that sheet (I added a battleaxe by drag and drop with the same sheet open I was trying to add the spell to). I'll double check the compendium compatibility but I checked the settings before I made the post and everything looked right.

I had that issue with a wild shape druid before. It seems that one of two things would correct it. Either I had to clear the chat archive from out side the game or the API had shut down. When I fixed one or both of these issues I was able to drop spells on the druid again.
