new to HTML coding- need advice on select tags

hello! i'm somewhat new to html coding and am working on a homebrew character sheet and ran into a snag. i was wondering if there was a way to add formulas to the "select" tags to calculate a formula and display next to the tag via a display box the formulated number?

Something like this you mean? - <select name="attr_calc value"> <option value="@{x} + @{y}">Add them</option> <option value="@{x} - @{y}">Subtract them</option> </select> <input type="number" name="attr_output_value" value="@{calc_value}" disabled="disabled">
