I know that during a game you can drag a player's avatar from the bottom left to a different map, and that will show just that player a new map. Is there any way to preset this prior to a game session with no one logged in? Party is currently separated due to the storyline, and I want to start the next session that way.

I don't think so. However an alternative would be to place the player flag on a landing page that has nothing to do with the story, and drag the players to their respective pages as they log in or as the game starts.
