Is D&D getting a little too plain for you? Do you like the formula of Shadowrun but find the magic a little out of place? Do you want to wield pistol sized rocket launchers that ignite the local atmosphere? Do you like deep lore on a 40K level? Have you ever thought post apocalypse needs to be set in space? Do you find the moral questions behind bodily augmentation in typical cyberpunk settings boring and not fun? Would you rather play as a talking octopus, combining transforming robot, or decentralized consciousness on the internet? Do you want to have combat in micro-gravity environments with a change of a haul breach? Does the idea of sacrificing yourself for the party but still coming back from the dead sound appealing? If yes to any of these, then keep reading. About Me I'm a GM with 5 years of experience with this and many other systems. Canadian. I've been in a rut with my other group so I've decided to take a step back and start fresh. I've got thick skin and can take a hit, I don't ban for petty insults or criticism against my ego. I'll also usually post memes and talk about current events if I find them funny/full of drama. I know the basics of good GMing, such as how to subtly guide the party without resorting to blatant railroading, when PCs have had enough, and how to give PCs a choice at every possible angle. I also don't care about ideology/religion, so you don't have to worry about discrimination on that front. General Information The game will be on Sundays 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time every week. Games with me should be 2 hours at a minimum and 4 hours at a maximum. Party size if 5 people. I use Discord. I'll send you a link if you're interested. Remember to say hi first thing when you get there. If you don't have any of the book, don't worry. I'd be happy to help you every step of the way. As a rule, I give players a 30 minute grace period before a session officially starts without them. Meaning at latest we start at 1:30pm. On average, we will play unless half the party can't make it. If your character can't be left out (I.E. we end a session in the middle of combat and you can't be there next week to take actions), someone will have to play your character for you, and they will have to play your character respectfully and to your concept. You can appoint someone in your absence if you want. Don't have a mic or don't speak English fluently? No problem. This isn't my first rodeo. At one point I've had a party of people from totally different countries. The first adventure will be as espionage mission taking place within the urban cities of Luna, however I plan on expanding on other environments and themes in the future. If you have any more questions before committing, don't hesitate to ask in this thread. What I'm Looking For In Players First and most importantly, consistency. If your job regularly asks you to come in on Sundays unexpectedly. If your professional or personal responsibilities cause you to skip out or be late to sessions on a basis greater than once a month, then I don't think this is for you. No offence, but I'm tired of going a month between sessions because of an unreliable party. You must at least pay attention to the Discord. I sometimes need to make important announcements, and I need confirmation that you've received the message, this is especially important when it comes to a weekly role call, where players express when they can and can't make it in advance. Otherwise we'll all be waiting for someone who's not coming. I encourage being active in chats, but all I'm really asking is that you let me know you're alive and have good internet connection. I've had many people go completely MIA. Civil interactions in chat. I don't mind disagreements and arguing, far from it, I encourage intellectual horn-locking on moral principal. However I've had people leave because of condescending comments. That's around where I draw the line. Besides that and posting extremely illegal content, it's hard to get me to ban you. All this sound good? Then Let me know. I'll PM you the link. First come first served.
