[LFG][5e][Paid] Dragon of Icespire Peak (Sunday)

A white dragon has been spotted in the mountains near the small mining town of Phandalin, and Townmaster Harbin Wester has sent out a call for heroes to protect the town from the dragon's predations. As adventurers, you will undertake several missions meant to ensure the safety of Phandalin and its inhabitants, all the while gathering the tools and experience necessary to take down the dragon, once and for all. About Me I am 27 years old, have been playing D&D since I was 5, and have been a DM off and on since I was 16. I am passionate about my games, and always do my best to bring my maximum effort to the table. Besides D&D, I love Star Wars, board games, witchy things, and just about anything nerdy or geeky. About This Game Module:  Dragon of Icespire Peak, from the D&D Essentials Kit Time:  Sundays every week at 2 p.m. Central Daylight Time. Each session is planned to last 3 hours, with at least two 10 minute breaks, though I am willing to go up to 4 hours if the session requires. Duration:  The module is designed to run from levels 1 through 6, so I predict about 10 sessions of play. I am willing to play longer if the module requires it. Place:  Actual gameplay will occur here on Roll20, while voice communication will be handled on Discord. Cost:  The first session will be a free, no-cost Session zero for character creation. Each session after will cost $10 USD per player per session, via Paypal. Roll20's required payment disclaimer: "This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $10 USD per session via Paypal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements." About Pay to Play As much as I would love to run games for free, pay to play has many advantages. The investment encourages attendance, participation, and engagement from both the players AND the Dungeon Master, and helps fund such things as a Pro subscription, Compendiums, and assets and tokens that can enhance the play experience. About Your Character Each character will begin at level 1, and will progress using milestone leveling throughout the campaign. If you have little or no experience with D&D or roleplaying games in general, I can help guide you through character creation during our initial free session. About You New players are welcome! If you lack experience with D&D in particular or roleplaying games in general, I will be glad to help you through your growth into a D&D veteran. If you have any questions, inside the game or out, I will be glad to answer. If you wish to request an invite to play, respond to the forum post below with the following form: Your Name: Your Discord ID and Number: Your D&D Experience: None/Beginner/Intermediate/Expert Your Roll20 Experience: None/Beginner/Intermediate/Expert Do you understand Pay to Play?: Yes/No Character Race/Class/Background/Details: (If you're new, or don't have a character concept, this is optional)

Your Name: Drake     Your Discord ID and Number: Denny#7745 Your D&D Experience: Beginner Your Roll20 Experience: Beginner Do you understand Pay to Play?: Yes Character Race/Class/Background/Details: My initial thought is something along the lines of a dwarf bard who constantly tinkers with his steampunk like instrument(s) to create new sounds. However i'm pretty flexible to play anything the group needs.
Excellent! I'll send you a PM shortly!
Your Name: Dhaivol Your Discord ID and Number: (I'd rather send it in PM's if that's ok.) Your D&D Experience: Beginner (I played a campaign back in 2012 for a few months, so it wasn't 5E and I can't remember which edition it was.) Your Roll20 Experience: None (I created an account just to reply to this post and get started.) Do you understand Pay to Play?: Yes (I feel more comfortable paying someone because I'm new and my last DM was a friend who was used to running with experienced players and that resulted in a poor learning environment. I'd much rather have a situation where the DM accepts me being new and has some motivation to help me learn.) Character Race/Class/Background/Details: Unsure (I don't know what the options are in 5E)
Wonderful! I'll send you a PM soon!

Hiya, I'm Phil and my friend Chris and are interested (his post below)  Your Name: Phil Your Discord ID and Number: Phil#7566 Your D&D Experience: Intermediate Your Roll20 Experience: Intermediate Do you understand Pay to Play?: Yup Character Race/Class/Background/Details - probably Paladin or Barbarian, LG or CG, Golaith (if allowed) lifelong dream to wrestle a dragon  As a player I'm big on RP and exploring the world. Easygoing player willing to get sidetracked forever or stick to the mission depending on party inclination. Most important thing for me in a game is that everyone is having a good time
Hey, I'm the Chris mentioned by Phil in the post above.  We're looking to play together, so are kind of a package deal. Your Name: Chris Your Discord ID and Number: Dace#2376 Your D&D Experience: Intermediate/Expert - 4-5 years Your Roll20 Experience: Intermediate/Expert - 4-5 years Do you understand Pay to Play?: Yes Character Race/Class/Background/Details: I always like to play something that complements the party well, from a class and concept perspective.  But put me on the spot and I have a couple of characters I've been thinking about.  A human cleric who is suspicious of arcane magic and keeps a close eye on it, or an elven rogue who got himself into trouble on a heist and is dealing with the magical consequences! The role-playing element (creating personality and motivations for my character and (when in character) trying to embody them in deed and word) is important to me, and I prefer to play with other players who are interested in that too (at any skill level and within the bounds of everyone's comfort zones). Thanks for your consideration!
Thank you all for your applications! I'll be sending PMs shortly.
This game is now full. Thank you everyone for your applications!
