Howdy-do! Player , sometimes GM Peru Time Zone ( GMT-7 ) My name is Sergio, I've been into roleplaying games since the 80s but never quite started playing, just reading a bunch of books. Used to play mostly old D&D computer games. Later got into Rifts, which I hate (and now mostly just make fun of), then GURPS, and then found about this little gem called FUDGE. Saw a bit of FATE (uppercase) back in the day but didn't draw my attention until Spirit of the Century and Dresden, still didn't really have anyone to play with and the internet was too unsophisticated for anything except forum-based games. Eventually got my break by playing a bit with some people I met at work who played a pretty jury rigged, messy version of AD&D+3E that I didn't like. That was when the Fate (lowercase) Kickstarter arrived and I backed it, then convinced some of these guys to run a couple Fate games - we didn't enjoy them, but I'm pretty sure it was because they were pretty antagonistic about trying a different type of game. I've run games like Secrets of Cats, Camelot Trigger, hacked versions of Atomic Robo that I used to run a published Spycraft game, and also tried to make my own pen and paper version of Star Control: Ur-Quan Masters, which was fine I suppose. For the last few years I've been playing regularly with a group online over Discord and Roll20 and I'd say that has been my most successful experience. Normally as a player, but I did run a few scenarios (2-3 months I think?) of Jadepunk and I quite liked it, I leaned heavily on letting the players create the story, and made some interesting minigame/contest thing that wasn't too bad. We still play on Thursdays and in all that time we've tried about half of the published Fate worlds, both Core and Accelerated. In this group I'd probably be more interested in running games than playing them. Anyway thanks for having me and so forth, cheers!
