Long campaign hopefully, about 5-9pm EST. LGBTQ+ friendly. Session zero this weekend. Looking for 2 or 3 more players. Discord: The Dragon Loki#9482 A tall tree stands amist a vast forest. Giant roots twist and turn, rise and fall like serpents swimming through the waves. The roots turned into safe travelling paths for adventurers and locals alike. Burrowed out to create the underground. Many small villages life around the base, scavenging goods and supplies to bring to the upper trunk. The canopy of the tree acts as shroud of darkness blocks the sun, and as a result the wild life has adapted to the dark. Carved into the tree and built outward stands a city, known as the ravenskeep, the economic capital of the realm. Standing out an unfathomable height, the tree acts as not only the life blood of the world around it, but also as almost a neurological system for society. The tree has been said to be the birth place of mana. The energy that it exudes has attracted heros and villains alike. The lines in the bark and the wood it creates have almost a soft blue impulses running through it. U able to be cut down, druids have used powers of the many generations to shape the tree into what it is today. The forest floor coveres in bioluminescent mushrooms and flowers sprouting out of the darkness and shining a light upon a world the sun has all but forgot. Animals mutate to adapt to their environment. The city is built in levels, the mining district at the base, using the roots of the tree almost a pre built mine of their own. The tree tops are for the rich or those chosen by God, sun kissed skin and gold shimmering in a light some say to be myth. Right at the middle, there's almost a shipyard-esque district where air ships drop off cargo, right above that shopping district, so on and so forth. The enormous leaves of this tree have an almost pearlescent film that make them shimmer various color in the sun light. Commonly turned into fine silk through a slow and tedious process, people have learned the leaves have slight restorative property. To outsiders, this tree is known as the tree that sits on top of the world, to locals it's the tree of life. The people in the leaves worship the sun as their father and God but the people below worship something much darker. The world is flat, expanding far and wide, coming to a stop far beyond the horizon, coming to a drop into the starry milky black abyss. Oceans and climates of varying degrees carve out the landscape. It's up to the adventures to navigate these lands and discover what bounties they hold. Many strongholds and cities exist within this land, but so much more is left uncharted and unexplored. Skill mechanic- Outside of basic mechanics there will be a level growth system for skills (i.e. cooking, agriculture, weapon smithing) if you can convince me that your character puts in the time and effort on some skills we can organize some sort of progression for example: 1) Cooking - basic Cooking - level 1 +1 to cooking rolls Cooking - level 2 +2 to cooking rolls or anyone who eats your food on a successful roll (13) gets 1 1d4 on any roll within 8 hours of the day Cooking - level 3 +3 to cooking rolls or anyone who eats your food on a successful roll (13) gets 1 1d6 on any roll within 8 hours Cooking - level 4 +4 to cooking rolls or anyone who eats your food on a successful roll (15) gets 2d4 on to use on one or two rolls Cooking - mastery +5 to cooking rolls, or anyone who eats your food on a successful roll (15) gets 2d8 to use on one roll or split into two different rolls. Also any roll above 20 your food has the benefits of a long rest (minus spell slots) Expierence will be acquired by either attending a school for such a thing or by doing. Expierenced will be rewards on a roll of the D20 when performing the action extra can be rewarded for roleplaying and what not Basic action ----> level 1 attend a class(es) at the university or guild Level 1 -----> level 2 250 exp Level 2 -----> level 3 750 exp Level 3 -----> level 4 1500 exp Level 4 -----> mastery 3000 exp Skills for growth will be created when the needs arise, hence the need to take a class or some sort of training to activate the leveling system. Exp and mastery level can change on the task, whether it be alchemy or hunting, we can discuss perks after you "enroll." Once a skill tree of sorts is created that's how itll be set for that skill. If a skill has "or" in it you can pick one of the other, also you can pick the precious levels benefit for a level up instead of the current levels benefit youd obtain.
