Players Needed! 5E Homebrew Adventure

A fabled land of myth and legend is home to a great kingdom called Drangleic where countless weary adventurers have traveled in search for a cure to the loss that ails them. The greatest legend of all being the coveted Throne of Want; a lonely seat without an owner that has sat quietly for ages, yearning for a rightful heir. As many brave and clever bearers of burden have fallen before them, it is up to the adventurers to journey toward Drangelic and with one final hope for a cure, discover what powerful magic this land of beasts and dragons may grant them. Background Hello! My name is Branden and I'm a long-time D&D 5E Dungeon Master. This campaign is a fresh and original Odyssey-like narrative taking place in the world of Dark Souls 2 and although this adventure shares much of the iconic characters and locations of Dark Souls 2, it couldn't be any more different. If you are unfamiliar with the world of Dark Souls 2, that's good! This isn't a Dark Souls campaign.  Character Creation This is the exciting part. I've crafted  nine  deities familiar to the universe of Dark Souls, each with their own unique alignment and description. In addition, I've added  six  original races based off fantasy humanoids found in the Dark Souls universe as well as  twelve  homelands to choose from to add further variety to your background. Other than the deities, races and homelands listed, only SRD material is usable + official expansions (no UA). You'll be rolling 4d6 best of 3 for stats (you may re-roll any stat total lower than 10).  DM Style   This is not a theater of the mind campaign. I've always been a very visual player and as a Dungeon Master, include maps for every tavern, township and dungeon. I play ambiance and combat music when appropriate (I won't be upset if you mute it) and I like to display artwork in the corner of each map to further help with immersion. As far as gameplay and player choice goes, I encourage creativity and will never say "No" unless you're derailing the campaign. As a player, as long as I'm rolling dice, I'm having fun and I feel the same as a Dungeon Master so be creative and interactive! Last of all, let's talk about fudging dice. I'll warn you, I don't do it. Ever. So be smart and be careful but most importantly, have fun! Sounds interesting, I'll put my hat in the ring.  Name's Charlie, I'm 26, been playing 5e for about 4.5 years now (although the last few months I've been absent from any tabletop and looking to get back into it).  Quarantine, as well as just new things in my life, have pushed me from DM to player for the time being, so hoping to add a game under my belt!  As far as characters, I usually play whatever the party needs, but I've been wanting to play a ranger again (could be convinced to do a fighter), or caster side a wizard.  Don't know much about the Dark Souls universe except the monster designs are pretty killer, so hoping one of those will fit in.

Hi Branden! I'm interested in learning more. I haven't played any Dark Souls but do really want to play D&D. My name is Pete, I'm 34 and first played about 3 years ago. I've played one campaign up to 20 and a few others that fizzled out because of (other people's) busy schedules. I've been wanting to play again for too long and spend an embarrassing amount of time coming up with character ideas to fill the void. So I have a few options and would choose based on the party, DM preferences, and campaign setting. I try to make characters who are versatile and seem fun to play in both combat and role playing, with some unique traits and flaws. I really like multiclassing because it adds so much customization and ways to add flavor to a character. I haven't tried playing online yet but I'm a quick learner. Hey ! i am Louis 17teen years old and i am playing dnd 5e 3 years now . I don't have any experience with dark souls 2 i only played dark souls 3 for quite a time (140 hours ) . I do have some character ideas like i want actually play at least 1 time mystic or 1 time blood hunter and i wanted the give the echo knight (fighter) a try so i actually have a quite amount of character ideas but i would pass them on the group so we don't have in the end the same class 3 times . and  I am a person who tries to skip encounter very often without a fight like charm the bandit captain and let them go away or as a druid to speak with beast so we do not have to kill them ^^ so i've i stand in front of a dragon maybe i am the person who says : ,,I want to seduce the dragon " . and the times match me quite well so if you have a further question ad me on discord : antiolanton#9705

Hello. My name is Stephen and I am interested in this campaign setting. Actually, I am here to address that I have a brother interested in this as well. I am 28 and he is 26. I, personally, have not played dark souls, but the two of us both started playing dnd about 2.5-3 years ago. If you are interested in both of us joining, we would plan to play maybe some kind of brothers. Maybe dwarf paladins. Maybe a yin and yang of sorts. I have a few ideas there. If just want to take me, I am interested in really playing anything. I can fit my character to the party. I was thinking if just me joining maybe a wizard that does his best not to attack (buff/debuff) or is even not the brightest cookie. Could be an archer. Ive played and can make just about anything work. Now I do like building backstories and things like that. I want my character to be able to pop.
