Hey Folks! We are a brand-new group of multiple
DMs that are looking for cooperative and supportive Players for epic adventures.
Our focus is on running player-driven D&D5e games that include character backstories
woven into the story, custom player handouts, cool battle maps, and killer
soundtracks.
Time: Friday or Saturday 6pm Eastern Standard Time
Discord for voice communication
What we’re
looking for:
·
Enthusiastic, cooperative,
interactive, and supportive players.
·
Players who seek to facilitate
connections with other players.
·
Players who appreciate games with a
decent mix of RP and tactical.
·
Players that can goof around and have
fun while being able to get serious and take it to task when needed.
·
Players who prefer story-driven
campaigns, where your actions (or inaction) impact the living world around you.
·
A player who is focused on the rule of
having fun.
·
A player who considers both player and
DM input as to what and how, we play.
·
A player who is somewhat flexible in
their play style; due to the potential variability in game play that comes from
having different DMs running different games.
*Group members have equal voice. The DM has final say in all
matters during (their) game play.
About me (1 Of the DMs) :
I am an old school player in a new school world.
I had stepped away from gaming for several years, and a couple years ago I
started playing (tabletop) again with a few friends…until the game was called
on account of life (jobs, moving, etc.). So, here I am…on the virtual
tabletop…let’s give it a try. One of the biggest issues I have found here is
finding a consistent, friendly group, that includes multiple DMs, that can last
for the long term. This is the challenge…
I have
about 15 years (plus) of TTRPG gaming experience, primarily with earlier
versions of D&D, where I have mostly acted as a DM. For the last three
years or so, I have served as the primary DM for a group on Roll20. I usually
like for the PCs to take a little time playing through the adventure to help
allow for PC growth, newly created story arcs, and role-play that might not
have been highlighted in a scripted setting. I tend to run a challenging game,
so players who know the importance of planning, strategy, and knowing thine
enemy will prosper. I spend a good amount of effort and energy setting up
encounters, storylines, handouts, and custom-themed soundtracks.
What I expect from party members : To be
respectful of each other, have a cooperative and supportive play style, to know
your character, to contribute to the group experience, and to make a genuine
effort to be on time and not be a “No Show”. Please don’t be a Rules Lawyer,
have a large ego, be argumentative or contrary. Just --- don’t be a d*ck.
What I
expect from a (seasoned) DM : Someone knowledgeable & engaging, who works
to maintain a good game balance, and strives to highlight each player. The DM has
the right to alter what they see fit but do so with the immense responsibility
of honoring the sacred trust of the players while maintaining balance; and do
so mindfully, with great care. Game details and expectations are to be
determined prior to starting.
