Hey hey! I’m looking to recruit players to join my “Perils of Uresia” table over Zoom and it will be my privilege to fit into their busy schedules. This is a custom table with factors determined by the group. I'm partial to systems like XDM ,ICRPG, and Risus, but if you have a preference, let's talk! About Me I’ve been playing D&D for close to 20 years, primarily as a host. I'm currently running 4 weekly paid games, and I have no turnover. If you're looking for a reliable DM with a proven track record of success, I'm the DM for you. I'm familiar with just under 800 systems (though admittedly, my knowledge and experience running some of them is much more limited compared to D&D and related products). I love storytelling and game design, often trying to come up with new and unique mechanics to make the games I’m running more enjoyable. I’ve been running games long enough, that I can feel confident calling myself a professional host My job is to work with my players to provide a fun experience for the table as a whole. My skills from 20 years of hosting combined with my experience running my own business show my ability and willingness to provide an ongoing, entertaining experience for my players. And if you need more proof, I’d cite my completely booked weekly evening games. Still, if you have any other concerns, I’d be happy to talk about my philosophy and techniques. My Style I like to define my style as a living narrative sandbox. I don't believe in creating set solutions to obstacles, rather, I create the obstacles and let players approach them using their skills and abilities. Suspension of disbelief is important to me, so I'm constantly trying to balance a believable world with fun gameplay. I want my players to feel immersed by the world and their RP. I enjoy working with and around player back stories, incorporating them into my world and giving their actions weight and substance so the player can feel like they’re part of a living, breathing world. Combat is important in my games, but there is also value to skills and RP ability as those can have a huge impact on the story. I generally try to keep the game running smoothly. If there’s a rule disagreement, I may attempt to look up the answer or I may make a calling and try to keep the story going. If this happens, I appreciate players who can accept the call and speak to me about it later if it really bothers them. The World The world of Uresia has many facets. Ancient forests, fallen gods, competing dwarven economies, waterfall climbing competitions, thunderships, political intrigue, arcane fallout, a swath of races, many factions, and an established timeline for you to stake your claim in. From pirates to paladins, from artisans to archers, you can be who and what you want to be in Uresia. This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $20 per person for a 5-hour session made through PayPal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
