[LFP] [5e] [Free] Icewind Dale Rime of Frost Maiden Campaign Need 3-4 players starting in early October

Hi we will be looking for 3-4 player for our Icewind Dale Rime of the Frost Maiden 5e campaign.  Recent pandemic events have impacted our group and have us looking for some players.   In the past we had a Star Wars Age of Rebellion game that ran for about 18 months and we did a Shadow of the Demon Lord campaign.  Our most recent game has been a campaign in the Midgard setting with 4e that has run a little over 2 years.     We play on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM (Mountain Standard Time) we typically go for 3-4 hours.  We are looking for players that  will be able to attend these sessions regularly, but we understand that things come up from time to time. We will be using Discord for voice communication, while playing the game on  Roll20.  We have some experience in the group but would welcome payers new to DnD.  I have been playing and DMing since 1978.  I am also into miniature wargaming and have made some wargames adaptions for roll 20.  The adventure is due to be released on 9/15/20 and I will need to familiarize myself with product and get things set up.  I would like to have a session zero on 9/30 and our first play session on 10/7.   This game is planned to run to the conclusion of the campaign, so make serious choices when it comes to character creation. You will hopefully play this character for quite a while. We generally don’t change characters unless someone dies.  Please make a posting below with some details about your gaming experience if you have some, and what you could bring to the table to make you a good fit with the group. Mention what type of character, Background, Class, etc that interests you. We typically play straightforward characters without complex mutli-classed combinations.   Accepted posts will be contacted and sent a link.   If you want a fun game that gives you a few hours of relaxation that is an escape for a few hours then we are for you. Like many groups we joke around some, but stay pretty focused on play with not going astray too often. The story is the thing, we try to get things right, but don't get bogged down in minutiae. If you are a serious Rules lawyer or Min-maxer, then maybe check out another of the many groups.  If you want to have some good relaxed gaming fun we would be happy to have you.
Hello! I am highly interested in your game starting up! Where to start lol i have been playing D&D for almost 25 years! i started on 2ed and fell in love! Yes even with Thaco. I hosted and DMed a 5e game when it first dropped for almost 3 years before well as always life happens. I have been looking for a game to join for quite sometime and lately NONE have worked out, (sometimes people suck) As to what i could bring to the table, i have not only EXP in D&D but 5e you wont have to teach me a thing! I can play almost any class that is needed but the ones i have the most experience with in order is Rogue, Monk, Fighter and Paladin (i tend to stay out of the bigger spell casting classes) i dont tend to Multi-class i like to play a class to its end! Thank you for your time.

Greetings, posting interest in your campaign. A little about myself..... I'm 52 years old, and have been playing and Dm'ing since 1978 as well. I have a good mic and connection, and am very reliable as my schedule is static. Perhaps you can use an experienced, co-operative player player who isn't a murder hobo and enjoys roleplay? As for what interests me, I find I enjoy most filling a needed role and being useful. So, I will play just about any role, I find I can always find a class and aspect of it I enjoy roleplaying. I would not mind playing something I have not played yet I suppose, perhaps something like this. Explorer Race: warforged(perhaps gnome if you don't want warforged) Class: artificer Background : outlander Explorer was built and designed to explore and map the world, while creating devices to help humanity survive in a difficult world.   In the handful of years since his creation he has wandered, and learned that he himself can be of use to help others, though he is still learning to socialize and has not spent much time with them. I hope my application interests you, and I hope to hear from you. Be well, Dave
My name is Lena. I'm 32 years old from the CDT area. I'm also a trans woman... so I hope that isn't a problem. I'm most used to playing paladins. I'd also like to try a life cleric. Bards and wizards are something I play if I want to try something spicy. Usually my charisma based character picks up Eldritch Blast and Hex from Magic Initiate (warlock) at level 1 or 4. If I were to be a paladin, this ties in with her pledging her soul to the realm of Celestia. My favorite subclass is Oath of Glory, but Devotion is just as good in most situations.
My name is Alex, I'm 29 and have been playing 5e for 3 years I'm not a stickler for rules nor am I a murder hobo. I like to think I am laid back and a team player.  Race: dwarf Class: barbarian  Background: mercenary veteran
Long time DM looking to get some play time as a PC. A familiar story I know lol. I would like to give a lore master halfing bard a shot. However I'm flexible and more or less know how to play whatever. My preference would be a spell caster. I'm more into the role playing side of things to be honest. The dungeon crawl part is fun but the improvisational nature of role playing and the dynamic story telling of table top RPGs is the fun part. If you don't pick me up I hope you have fun with your game.
Paradox#1002 Hello. I'm currently looking for a group to play with. Im free most days of the week. I already have a game that usually runs on mondays, and have been looking to add another long term game to my schedule. I love to roleplay during campaigns and combat is fun as well. I was thinking of running a rouge for my next character, no multi-classing or anything like that. I am fairly experienced with several one shots and a long term campaign under my belt. I have only ever played 5e, but would be open to other games. I'm very relaxed and get along with everyone. I am also very punctual and will always be on time for sessions. Let me know if you are looking for players.  Looking forward to hearing from you. Paradox#1002
I think I managed to PM everyone.  I will send out some more info this week.  Thanks to everyone who responded.
Hello! I'm not sure if you're taking more inquiries, but wanted to throw my hat in. I currently DM for two campaigns (each plays every other week or so). I play in AL games as well, but would really love to join a long term campaign with like-minded people that are eager to tell a story together. I am 33 years old and am available Wednesdays at the specified time. I am open, respectful, and inclusive at my table as both a DM and a player and hope for the same in the people I play with. I love exploring role play and would love a DM who is interested in developing character stories alongside the module. I work really hard to make my players feel like their stories matter, and would love to be able to experience the same in a long term game. I also really enjoy challenging combat. While I don't want  any of my characters to die, I find AL encounters skew towards easy and rarely are players ever at actual risk. I prefer casters (cleric, druid, sorcerer) but already have one of each of those, so I'm also interested in trying a barbarian, monk, or wizard. I think the only classes I'm not particularly interested in are warlock, paladin, and fighter, but even then I could find a way to make them fun for me. I also would love to play a more monstrous/non-human/dwarf/elf race.  Hope that helps! Let m know if you'd like any more info.
