
Setting: Midgard (homebrew) 5e Rules: I am a very relaxed GM and I apply common sense rules as opposed to being absolutely strict. Cost: FREE Races/Classes allowed: I am flexible, but please be mindful that if you are looking for an obvious race that would stand out in a perceived 'good' human city e.g. gnoll, minatour etc - you would get strung up as you walked through the gates (see below) Timezone: 8PM BST or 9PM CET 3PM EST, every Thursday (we start again on the 3rd September) Campaign Length: roughly 2 years (4 months in at the moment) Campaign Type: Story Horror / Based / 5e (this can get quite disturbing so you are aware) and is not for the easily offended. Age Minimum: 21+ (we are all ranged 21-50 - so we have a variety of mindsets in the group - we consist of 1 American, 3 UK and 1 Hungarian). Good or Evil? There is no good or evil in Midgard, it is a matter of perspective. Starting Level: 8 Other information: This is not a campaign for those who are easily offended. As a fantasy World setting, Northern Midgard is bleak, harsh and intolerant. Slavery, racism, sexism, ageism are abundant and unforgiving. The mainland Midgard is in part run by undead who use flesh as currency - the younger the flesh, the more expensive the price. Basic Overview: The current party are unsure about who the real villan is, there are numerous which consist of the Aurora (the Dragon of all colours - who can change her colours according to the form she chooses), Dri'Quin (a super-ancient wizard who defeated the gods until he was beaten by Loki alone), Jix'Tir (a necromancer who seems to have his own ambitions), Very Gnomal (a mining operation who seem to have expanded their business rapidly), The vampire lords of Morgau, Nicufarau the Pale, Ghoul Lord who has aligned with the Aurora, Ansaroth (a mysterious evil place), the five elemental cults (they are currently trying to destroy the Wood cult). this is all they know so far. The current party consists of: - A sorcerer who has his power granted by a mistress who keeps appearing back on the scene and is somehow associated with Jix'Tir - A warrior who can partly transform into a wolf but he does not know who did this to him - A cleric/wizard who is a force of good and has just learned of his father, who is also the CEO of the mining company. - A halfling archer who has been expelled from the College of Randstad and whose hamlet has been ravaged by the Duchy of Morgau. Why are we looking for another member / a female roleplayer Our last member who had to sadly leave as she is starting a new job added a very good balance to the group and I believe another female roleplayer within the group will add to the story and engage with the various characters in the World. What type of game to expect? The game is really entirely on how the players interact with the World. We had one session where the players were talking and trying to work out the magic items they have received (because identify is useless), sometimes it is hack and slash, other times it is pure roleplay (we had RP sessions which lasted for 3 weeks) It is truly varied and someone should be happy with all the variety of scenarios which this brings. What homebrew rules are in effect? No hard or fast ones really, I apply common sense and am relatively flexible e.g. if there is a naked prone person on the floor and you drive your sword through his hard as he is sleeping, he is dead. This may change dependent on self armour and type of creature etc. Sometimes I may apply advantage or disadvantage further dependent on the scenario for example. I do also like to have the players work with me on the rules also - I am more of a 1e GM, so 5e is still newish to me. If you are interested, please PM me with the usual.
