I apologize in advance if this has already been answered. I purchased the 5e Player's Handbook / Xanathar's Guide bundle. Apart from accessing the materials in the Compendium, is there a way I can actually read Xanathar's Guide? Like an online PDF version?

Yes, you can access it in the External Compendium which have main pages for all books that gives quick links to individual pages, but it's no book in the classic sense. You can press "next page" but not sure if everything is in the exact order they would be in the book.

Depending on the publisher, purchasing content on Roll20 is often a separate thing from purchasing the book. For example, Paizo gives you a discount on the PDF if you have purchased digital content on some platforms, but you still need to purchase the PDF separately from that other platform's content.
