Field for player-editable notes on player-controlled tokens

There are a number of ideas in the general realm of "please give players more space where they can write stuff" (which I am generally in favor of) but I wanted specifically to request that each token have an attached text box (i.e. in the same window as the "GM notes" box) that is visible to everybody and editable by the controlling player, rather than the GM only. There are many kinds of details to keep track of during encounters for which three numbers and a few colored dots may not be adequate, and currently there's no good place for such things.

...I wanted specifically to request that each token have an attached text box (i.e. in the same window as the "GM notes" box) that is visible to everybody and editable by the controlling player, rather than the GM only. Maybe it might be better for that field to be only viewable/editable by the token owner (a specific player in this case) instead of everyone in the group. A thief PC might not want to broadcast their backstab list and a tally of the stolen party's gold she's hiding in her shoe. :)
Having the field be visible only to the controller would defeat the purpose from my point of view--I want it specifically as an extension of the radial widgets and colored dots that are already visible to all, or can be made so. (I'm thinking of things like trying to track damage in individual hit locations in RuneQuest.) If players want to hold out on each other, that's a separate thing, and not what I was concerned about. Actually, I haven't yet tested Roll20 with more than one player on, so I don't know whether it's already possible for players to write secretly in journals or whatever. In any case I don't see a need for secret player notes that are attached to tokens (attached to characters, maybe).
One clear example in which these might be very useful is for recording Aspects and Consequences in FATE games such as Spirit of the Century , Dresden Files , and Diaspora . The whole point of characters (and especially non-player characters) having these is that everyone can Tag them. The information has to be shared. Oh, and: Hi there, Pamina!

For some stupid reason I was confusing tokens and the character journals. Sorry about that. So, basically if the token had a field that the player could write in, they could dump a lot of mechanical stuff there which would keep their PC's journal entry less cluttered and readily available for RP-oriented notes in the bio field instead?
Yes, and things that get used or altered a lot in combat would be there on the map rather than tucked away in the journals. Also, you wouldn't have to make character journals for bit-part combatants, just give them a token.
Bumping this, because I just ran a fight in Roll20 using RuneQuest II and I think more than ever that a feature like this is necessary. It's very, very inconvenient to convey even basic information about opponents to players so that they can keep it straight. In this case, I had a number of enemies who were of the same type but had different weapons--the difference being quite important--and there was no good way to label them. And, because this was RuneQuest, enemies were getting limbs disabled and stuff like that, and there's no good place to put that information, either. And of course players had to keep track of their own injuries in the "Bio" section of their character, which is just plain ugly. So, just reiterating my desire for text attached to tokens that everyone can see.
