[Free] [DnD5e] [Descent into Avernus] - Weekly Thursday 10pm - 1am [British Summer Time] - 3 or 4 players sought - Session 0-1 20/08/2020

Hello there,  I am a new DM looking to gain experience by running Descent into Avernus.  The plan is for this game to be mixture of RP and combat, running pretty much ‘rules as written’ (RAW) and sticking pretty close to the base adventure. For simplicity, characters will have to be as per the Player's Handbook (so we can use charactermancer from Roll20) - unless you have and are willing to share the other source books on Roll20.  New players are welcome, so any experienced players need to be patient with the new players... and indeed the fairly new DM! Are you up for a weekly adventure through Baldur's Gate and down into the depths of hell? Sign up below. I should have also said [Adult game 18+...   not for anything kinky/nasty I am afraid, just that I don't want to have to run the game and also think about censoring myself and other players around age appropriate language/content, sorry kids/teens]. Oh, also we will probably use Roll20 for maps, journals, character sheets and dice, and discord for voice and video - will share the details if/when we get a group together.

Hi Michael Sign me up.  I have enough productive hours of DnD 5e and Roll20 to be mostly comfy with Charactermancer.  Up to level 3 tank.  Just beyond newbie but enough to know that DnD is something that suits me.  I will show up consistently, on time and ready to play. There are years of roleplaying in text-based MUDs, but I'm no dramatic All Star.  It's always been about having fun. I'd like to try a Ranger to do a little spellcasting, but would be a pure tank again if that fits the group better.  My guy made some mistakes that caused death and disappearance.  There is rejected love and monsters and bandits enough to generate something that suits your game.  I'll give you some options. I'm USA Pacific Coast.  Your game time falls right in between my bike ride and beer appreciation time.  Perfect. /smitty

I played DnD for about 1 year but I´m pretty comfy with the basic rule book and xanathar´s addition also roleplaying if completely fine with me otherwise this game wouldn´t be the best choice to make. Thanks for the response folks.  I have sent out invites with the game link and a discord server on a first come first up basis.  If someone unfortunately has to drop out, I might work down the list to see if someone is still up for playing.  Wish us luck (we are going to need it).
