Hello; I joined a group about little over a month ago that lost there GM. And now looking for a a full time GM. Till then group has been doing Round Robbin GMing between players till roll can be filled. Now the players of this group do like to power game, but don't let that worry you. They also want a good story and character development also. Here is how they put it. Tier 1: solid optimization, picking race, skills, feats, equipment that matches your class or classes, basic multiclassing/prestige classing for increased effectiveness. Tier 2: Race optimization with either a template or feat/class synergy, useful min-maxing without leaving glaring weaknesses, selecting specialized gear, skill tricks, using multiclass combos and racial abilities for optimization, and some RAW to increase effectiveness/action economy. Using spell/ability combos to maximize effectiveness to the limits of the game’s intent. Tier 3: using possibly multiple templates, exercising RAW usage to achieve beyond min-maxing, earning high optimization without leaving weaknesses, using race, feat, and class optimization to the full extent and pushing the limits of the system in general. Highly optimized gear, increased defenses/immunities, and tactical multiclassing and prestiging. Using spell or ability combos to increased effect beyond game’s original intent. Tier 4: “Beyond powergaming” using RAW to break the limits of the system, template-stacking combos, class and race combos that shouldn’t be possible at all using RAW, high optimization in many areas with no weaknesses, multiple immunities, tactical selection of every mechanical character aspect, using multiple spell/ability combos for maximum possible effectiveness. Keep in mind (in case of concerns) that these tiers refer to mechanical effectiveness and have no bearing on character development, personality, role-playing, etc. These are just there as tiers to represent mechanical usage of the game. They would like tier two or low tier three. Please if you feel you can fill the role. List what tier your comfy with. And a little bit about yourself. Tyvm have a good day.
