On GM Login, same (wrong) map always loads.

So it's give or take exactly what the title says. When my players login, the correct map loads for them. When I, the illustrious GM, login, an old, archived map always   loads.  Since that map is fairly resource rich, it also takes a long time to load, whereas our current, much more petite map loads faster.  Am I doomed to always see My Very First Campaign Map TM when I enter the campaign? I'd rather not delete this gem, with all of its poor use of dynamic lighting and total ignorance of Fog of War purely on a nostalgic note, but I'm also concerned that deleting it will send roll20 into a paradox loop and let Captain Kirk escape.

That's weird. In my experience, the GM always loads on the last map they were viewing. Try loading up the campaign, switching to a different map, then clicking the Exit Game button (dont just close the browser tab). Then relaunching, do you start on the new map?
Usually when logging in as the GM you go to the last map you were on as GM, regardless of what map has the Player banner on it. Have you changed the map you are looking at before logging out and logging back in?

Also, this gave me a laugh: Sarah J. said: I'd rather not delete this gem, with all of its poor use of dynamic lighting and total ignorance of Fog of War purely on a nostalgic note, but I'm also concerned that deleting it will send roll20 into a paradox loop and let Captain Kirk escape.

I tried this just now and returned to the archived map.  I would say that this isn't possible since I archived the offending map and haven't used it in ages.

It's all fun and games until Scottie's dead and Uhura loses her memory.
Maybe it's a cache problem with your browser? Try to clear the cache and cookies (at least for roll20) and see if that works?

Wait there's not like a setting that I'm supposed to use that I just haven't clicked, right?
Update: I also tried opening the campaign using Firefox, with no luck there either.

Did you try the steps I suggested while in firefox too? Change map, exit game, and then reload the campaign in firefox? If this works, you have a browser issue for the other browser (Chrome I assume). If it doesnt work, it's not a browser issue, and you'll need help from roll20 tech support.

Yep, just did it again to make double sure. On to Support! Thanks all for the help. :)

I would try un-archiving the map, changing to a new map, exiting and re-entering. Might as well re-name the map page for good measure.

Those are good ideas. I was thinking of renaming the map, but it likely uses the id which wont change.

I unarchived the offending map, changed its name, went to another map, exited the game. Re-entry brought me back to the offending map.  I think it's time to delete the ol' thing and let Kirk get away.
I duplicated the page for posterity, deleted the offending one, went to an unoffensive page, exited. When I came back, it was.... NOT to the bullywugs! THEY DID NOT CONQUER ME! Thank you all so very much for your time in helping me get through this dang ol' thing.

I hope you checked that page. :( "Duplicate Page" is a very poorly named feature. It should be "new blank page with these settings". Your bullywugs may be gone. For future problems like this, I'd recommend duplicating the entire game. You can afterwards go in and prune whatever you don't want, but duplicate games don't really take up any personal storage space.
Oh, no, I named it something like Bullywugs Shut Up. It still loads, too!
I got nothing to contribute except to say poor bullywugs.
