Not applying hp to token through VTT?

For some reason when I roll the HP for my npc/monster tokens it will roll in the chat but not apply the HP to the token. I'm not sure as to what is going on. According to the VTT discord this is a recent issue and there has been no update. Was hoping that someone on roll20 may have figured this issue out and can help me out.

Macros can't change token or sheet values.  Do you have an api script installed like Tokenmod that should be handling changing the value?

I have no api scripts running. It does change it on the npc sheet but only when I apply the formula to the token? for the attribute. I am using VTT option for roll hit dice.

It sounds like this is an issue with a third party extension? If so, it should be discussed there.
Zachary S. said: I have no api scripts running. It does change it on the npc sheet but only when I apply the formula to the token? for the attribute. I am using VTT option for roll hit dice. I suspect you're talking about using the 3rd party extension Beyond20?  Perhaps?  If you are, I just checked on the Beyond20 Discord channel (quickest way to get to the author), and it is as I suspected.  There is no way, currently, to adjust HP on monster/NPC tokens on the fly using Beyond20 as the glue between DnD Beyond (DDB) and Roll20.  They are looking at using the DDB encounter manager/combat tracker to pass information to Roll20 tokens, but so far, it only syncs initiatives.

I am using VTTES not dnd beyond api. VTTES is not an API through Roll20 it is a browser add on for Roll20 that adds extra tools. Here is the link to what I am referring to.&nbsp; <a href="https://ssstormy.github.io/roll20-enhancement-suite/features.html" rel="nofollow">https://ssstormy.github.io/roll20-enhancement-suite/features.html</a> There is a video tutorial for this browser add on but the guy skips over the part I am having problems with. The issue stems from the Roll and apply hit dice option for this add on. It is supposed to apply the hit points after you roll, to the token or multiple selected tokens. And it is not working. I also said that no API scripts were running and dnd beyond is an API script that I got rid of once it was no longer compatible.

Also It sounds like this is an issue with a Roll20 update that made this option malfunction. I was just hoping that someone from roll20&nbsp; might know and give myself a wider birth when it comes to solving this issue rather than sticking to the 3rd party. It was mentioned on the 3rd party discord channel and discovered that it was a compatibility issue due to a roll20 update. So I'm probably gonna have to wait till the 3rd party releases an update to be compatible. Every other option works fine for this add on but roll and apply option does not function completely due to update.

Again, Roll20 has no connection with a third party extension and does not support them. There are API scripts that can set monster hit points (specifically MonsterHitDice, available on OneClick) on drop. this would be a better solution and discussable on these forums. I'll send you a PM with more info.

Roll20 wont give support for a third-party addon. You're correct in your assumption that you'll have to wait for the extension creator to update it.&nbsp;
