Advanced lighting defect?

I am newish to roll20 and brand new to running a game on the platform. When I try and set up dynamic lighting one of two things has happened for the players, either there are visible triangles on the map that if they scroll basically reveals the entire map or there is a line in the middle of the map giving full visibility beyond it. I don't think I am doing anything overly complex just using the polygon tool to outline some trees, any help would be appreciated, using chrome on a fairly new macbook

This sounds like bugs with the Updated Dynamic Lighting - is that what you're using? Any chance you have a screenshot?
i had updated dynamic lighting working but now i cannot reset my fog and the triangles are back see screen shot

The diagonal banding is because you are zoomed out. See the issues reported in the feedback thread at https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/9072910/updated-dynamic-lighting-legacy-sunset-feedback-thread If you don't want to beta-test the updated dynamic lighting, my recommendation is to use the "legacy" dynamic lighting which works perfectly well (within its own limitations).
This happens to me as well. I did some research, and it seems like the reason it happens to me is because i'm using a mac. I went back to use the legacy dynamic lighting and it works perfectly. I'm hoping they don't get rid of the legacy anytime soon, because those triangles make the dynamic lighting kind of moot.

Eric H. said: I'm hoping they don't get rid of the legacy anytime soon, because those triangles make the dynamic lighting kind of moot. They have committed to fixing UDL before they start phasing out Legacy DL. Considering it's now at feature parity and they have said just a few days ago that they have no timeline for when to start the phasing out, they are holding true to this.
legacy seems to work thanks all
