Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online / Roll20 + Discord (DnDBeyond optional) Experience: 6 months minimum Location/Timezone: EST (GMT -5:00) Schedule: Tuesday Nights, 6:30 p.m EST - 10:00 p.m EST Roles sought: 2-4 players, currently have a party of 2. Game style: Combat/exploration-oriented campaign with 1-2 combats per session. If you enjoy RP'ing, this game will require that you put in the effort to do so. The party is more than willing to RP amongst themselves, but the focus of this campaign will be the tasks laid out for you. This will be a highly dangerous campaign spanning several months and starting at seventeenth level. The current goal of the campaign is to determine the cause for strange phenomena about the state of the economy of a kingdom known for its exporting magical items. All the same, this is a very intricately crafted world with fine details that may lead to new plot hooks to explore. As it stands, this campaign is open-world, and us players have been enveloped in the mystery of an economy seemingly in shambles for some months. Disclaimer - There have been countless hours poured into this campaign in order to successfully provide a fun environment come game day. You are expected to read the entire post and reasonably meet every expectation listed below in order to prove to me that you are willing to put forth the effort to make this game fun for everyone. If it's blatantly clear to me that you don't intend to take this seriously in either your application or meeting with me and the DM via discord, you will not be invited to this game. Thank you for reading, and I hope the below piques your interest. Character creation - Evil characters, brooders, loners, and characters that are disinclined to help the party are discouraged and are unlikely to receive the okay from me. - Stats are rolled in front of the DM. 4d6r1dl1 six times. Game Rules - Know how to play, be it understanding the rules, understanding your alignment, or cooperating with a group. - If you disagree with a ruling, you are encouraged to bring it up. I will try to be fair, but that being said, if you rules lawyer or complain, you may be asked to leave. - Do not initiate party conflict without first asking other players publicly. If you attempt to do so, other players will be given the opportunity to veto your action. You may use deception and stealth rolls against other players by asking me privately if you'd like, but you may not attempt to steal from other players or influence them with persuasion or intimidation rolls without their consent. - Be respectful, and exercise good judgment. - "It's what my character would do," is not a sufficient idiot and/or *sshole pass. - Enable others to speak, and do not attempt to speak over others. If you are domineering the session, you will be asked to stop privately, and then publicly if it continues. House Rules - If you cast two spells in one turn with one being an action and another being a bonus action, neither spell is required to be a cantrip. - If you use your action to ready a spell and the condition is not met before the start of your turn, you do not expend the spell slot. - Consuming a health potion only takes a bonus action. Feeding it to an ally takes a main action. - We use flanking rules. - Any effect that allows a reroll can be used after the die is rolled but must be used before the outcome is determined.
