General Discussions and Shenanigans Thread #06:

Ok, I have deleted probably at least 200 monster sheets so far, from the game and linked tokens to a single sheet. This was buggy in the past but seems to be stable now. My load in time is roughly ~ 50 seconds to ~ 80 seconds right now for the game to load. I found a couple locations didn't have close up maps, so I will just use the wandering monster jungle map for those. I also see that temple locations T2 and M9 don't have maps. So I need to make them, however Dungeonographer crashed on me  recently when I was upgrading a Map for the Reynaldo Lazendry craft dungeon that the group went through before, so I don't know how it will behave. Though the maps I need to make will be smaller. I also have Campaign Cartographer 3+ now and need to figure out a few things with that one yet.
Good luck I like CC3 but I find it hard to learn
There are similarities with Dungeonographer, so, hopefully in spite of the talked about high learning curve for CC3+, I might have an easier time of it. I was having trouble getting the grids to match up between the map and DD3+ grid, is all so far that was hindering me. I forgot to mention I forwarded the generated error report along with the map being worked on to Inkwell Ideas. I think it was last Thursday and have not heard anything thing back from them yet, not even a "we got your error report and will look into it", kind of message even!
Ok, Roll20 is coming back up, so come on in if you can make it!

I will be a little late getting back from dinner over at my Mom’s boyfriend’s house. Look to start around 8:30 pm eastern.
Hey guys, thanks for the session last week, but I'll be taking my leave.  Looking for a game with voice/video as opposed to text only.  Thanks anyway and maybe I'll see you around.
Bye George XOX

Everyone is expected to play and contribute to party decision making and help each other, as always and usual. It is Devin’s turn to be party leader / caller tonight (08/23/20). Next week it would be Nick if he can make it, if not it’s Roxxifarius.
The Kickstarter for the "Terrain Essentials" book is nearing completion and I thought I'd post a link so you can still get the book before it's release. It shows you how to build terrain or dioramas for your train layout or dungeons! It's $45 for the hardback book and there are some add-ons: <a href="https://terrain-essentials.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders" rel="nofollow">https://terrain-essentials.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders</a>
Very nice If I still had a group that sat around a table and rolled dice, would buy it, sadly, probably never will again
The PDF is only $25, which is what I originally pledged for. I might get the hardback and they unlocked my backerkit so that I could. My Mom's boyfriend is putting a train layout together so I figured it might help.
Seems like it could be a big help in that, if it came out years ago when I had a group, would have made my games much more immersive

Here are the magical Items that some of the retired characters had. Coal will still keep his for the time being.&nbsp; The rest I may let be divided among the new party. It depends, as the retired character are now like NPC's and could be like the cavalry that comes to the rescue of the party. So maybe I'll let them keep their magical stuff still.&nbsp; So just to see, who would like to have which of the following items. Let me know! Balen: Calenyanda (+1 Long Sword) . This +1 weapon is fashioned from steel with a light green sheen. It is nearly indestructible and razor sharp. Value: 5,000 GP In addition to its magical enhancement, the bearer of the weapon gains an additional +1 to damage on each consecutive strike (up to +5) with the weapon against the same target. Any miss resets the cumulative effect. Berenion Gilithil, relates that this elven blade was also the work of the smith Tincdan. Centuries after his death,the queen of the elves Eruanniel gave the blade to the King of Cadarn, Aelhaeran I. The blade was passed down through the line of human kings for ages until it was gifted to a prominent hero Sir Vorath, Knight of Belinos, and then passed down through that order for centuries as well. With the downfall of the order of dragon riders the sword was lost and was recovered by Glidas Trahern, on one of his adventures. It was his wish that it be returned to the order when their honor was restored. The elven name translates simply as “green blade.” Cloak of Charisma +2:&nbsp; Raises Charisma score Cube of Force:&nbsp; A device of but about the size of a large die — perhaps ¾ of an inch across — the cube of force enables its possessor to put up a wall of force 10 ft per side around his or her person and this cubic screen is impervious to the attack forms shown in the table below. The cube has 36 charges, and each day this energy is restored. The holder presses one face of the cube to activate or deactivate the field: Cube&nbsp; |&nbsp; Charge Cost per Turn | Face&nbsp; |&nbsp; &nbsp;&amp; Movement Rate&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; |&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Effect one&nbsp; ;&nbsp; 1 / 10 ft&nbsp; ;&nbsp; keeps out gases, wind, etc. two&nbsp; ;&nbsp; 2 / 80 ft&nbsp; ;&nbsp; keeps out non-living matter three&nbsp; ;&nbsp; 3 / 60 ft&nbsp; ;&nbsp; keeps out living matter four&nbsp; ;&nbsp; 4 / 40 ft&nbsp; ;&nbsp; keeps out magic five&nbsp; ;&nbsp; 6 / 30 ft&nbsp; ;&nbsp; keeps out all things six&nbsp; ;&nbsp; 0 / normal&nbsp; ;&nbsp; deactivates When the force screen is up, the following attack forms cost extra charges from the cube in order to maintain the integrity of the screen. Note that these spells cannot be cast either into or out of the cube: catapult-like missiles 1 : flame strike 3 very hot normal fires 2 : lightning bolt 4 horn of blasting 6 : meteor swarm 8 delayed blast fireball 3 : passwall 3 disintegrate 6 : phase door 5 fireball 3 : prismatic spray 7 fire storm 3 : wall of fire 2 The cube of force can be of any hard mineral, ivory or bone. Rowan: Geldered's Short Sword +2 Elessarwa's Cloak of Resistance +1:&nbsp; +1 to all Saving Throws Sheila: Mace +2 Staff of Striking Naniethraril - Wooden Scale Mail +1 (Great for Rangers) Large shield +1 Amulet of Protection +3 (Lo Shan wants this one!) Heyward's Handy Haversack&nbsp; Contents: Scrolls: #1: Knock &amp; Levitate #2: Magic Weapon #3: Mage Armor #4: Stone to Flesh #5: Sleep #6: Knock Ring of Invisibility&nbsp;

Here are Coal's Magical Items. Again let me know which Items you would like, if I decide to let Coal give you his stuff. Bag of Holding &nbsp;(300 lbs capacity) (weighs only 5 lbs) Contents: 2,000 gp Long Sword +1 / +3 Vs Regenerating Monsters: &nbsp; (with sapphire studded scabbard with silver inlay: 1,730 gp value) Gloves of Arrow Snaring:&nbsp; Once snugly worn, these gloves seem to meld with the hands, becoming almost invisible. Twice per day, the wearer can act as if he had the snatch arrows ability even if he does not meet the prerequisites for it. Both gloves must be worn for the magic to be effective. At least one hand must be free to take advantage of the magic. Wearer Rolls a Save vs Petrification, a success means the arrow is snatched! Faint abjuration; CL 3rd; Price 4,000 gp. Mithril Chain Mail +1 :&nbsp; +1 to Armor Class (Camlin wants this) Quiver of Ehlonna&nbsp; (1,000 XP / 6,000 GP): This appears to be a typical arrow container capable of holding about 20 arrows. Examination shows that it has three distinct portions, each with an extra-dimensional space allowing it to store far more than would normally be possible. The first and smallest one can contain up to 60 objects of the same general size and shape as an arrow. The second slightly longer compartment holds up to 18 objects of the same general size and shape as a javelin. The third and longest portion of the case contains as many as six objects of the same general size and shape as a bow (spears, staffs, etc.). Once the owner has filled it, he can command the quiver each round to produce any stored items he wishes. Foseeker Longbow +1 (4,500 GP Value) &nbsp; (6ft) (2 lbs): &nbsp;(Camlin wants this one) The bow has a strange magical property that protects the allies of the bearer.&nbsp; The bow either strikes the designated target or misses.&nbsp; There is no need to resolve firing into melee.&nbsp; In addition, the target may not get the bonus for soft cover &nbsp; provided by any other combatant. Johnny Bowman tells this story he was told: Berenion explains, “This bow was a gift to Gildas by my Uncle Taurfaer, a ranger of great renown.&nbsp; He fashioned it himself from ebony and boxwood that was then alchemically treated by the elven Druid Meluieth." "The string is the sinew of a great two-headed troll my uncle slew in his youth.&nbsp;&nbsp; It is said that it is so resilient that it never needs to be unstrung.&nbsp;&nbsp; Fear not if you fire a missile from this bow into a chaotic melee.&nbsp; It has never been known to strike an ally of the wielder.” Boots of the Formene (4 lbs) –&nbsp; This pair of boots connects the wearer with the Formene allows the wearer to: • Navigate the Formene like an elf, by following&nbsp; hidden signs to reach their destination and&nbsp; avoid known pitfalls, • Avoid cave-ins through seismic warnings passed&nbsp; through the soles of the boots, and • Derive nutrition from the fungus, animals, and&nbsp; plants of the Formene without vitamin issues. Cloak of the Formene (3 lbs) – &nbsp;This cloak envelopes the&nbsp; wearer in a shroud of protection: • Providing protection from air quality issues, &nbsp; including toxins in the air, lack of oxygen, and&nbsp; breathing underwater. The hood of the cloak has &nbsp; a face mask that protects the wearer from such threats. • Suppressing all fires within 20’ of the wearer to &nbsp; protect them from air depletion, toxins, etc. • Reducing damage from flash floods. In addition &nbsp; to allowing underwater breathing, the cloak&nbsp; gives the wearer protection from damage &nbsp; that might be taken from sudden flooding of&nbsp; caverns.&nbsp; (save vs. Paralyze at + 4 to mitigate&nbsp; damage; the saves are for half vs. no damage, &nbsp; not full vs. half damage) Ring of Elvenkind –&nbsp; This ring grants the wearer a&nbsp; connection with nature. This allows the wearer to: • Communicate via a form of telepathy with &nbsp; any willing intelligent being in line of sight,&nbsp; including strangers that want to communicate &nbsp; but have no common language or no language&nbsp; at all. • Maintain a sense of time. The wearer is in tune &nbsp; with the sunrise and sunset on the surface. • See in the complete darkness of the Formene&nbsp; (Infra-vision 60’). Ring of Free Action :&nbsp; XP Value: 1,000 Sale Value: 5,000 (Dalnoth wants this one) Enables the wearer to move &amp; attack freely &amp; normally whether attacked by a web, hold or slow spell or even while under water. Under water the user moves at normal surface speed &amp; does full damage with weapons so long as the weapon is held. This will not however enable water-breathing.
Just a reminder to please try and pick magical items from the the ones listed in the previous two notes Before Sunday Oct. 4th so that I can get them on the sheets and make the necessary adjustments, Prior to the gaming session! Camlin, Lord Cromther, Pavel and Xilicien are all over-encumbered, with Lord Cromther the most affected. Xilicien may want to consider giving the Boots of Infiltration and Garb of the Charlatan to someone with thief skills.
I m ShIELA &gt; if the boss wants to gove me ab stupid magicak item okay.&nbsp; But it won;t matter unless it is a Protection Scroll&nbsp; Where he goes, I follow.&nbsp;
My job is to keep party strong. Not collect stupid magical items&nbsp;
That ring of free action could come in handy, but beggars can't be choosers.

Ok, looks like after dinner I am going to put the requested and suggested magical items onto the character sheets. So, any changes, let me know, this evening at the latest!&nbsp;
Ok, all of the retired characters magical items have been moved over to the current player character sheets now. They are as follows, as listed in this previous note: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8987163/general-discussions-and-shenanigans-thread-number-06/?pageforid=9242817#post-9242817" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8987163/general-discussions-and-shenanigans-thread-number-06/?pageforid=9242817#post-9242817</a>
cool
do i need to equip this stuff or is that done automatically?
Mark, the new stuff should be on the sheets now and any adjustments or macro for it made. Took over two hours to get it all ready. This is why I had asked for input by yesterday after dinner so that I could get it done and out of the way!
Looks like I overlooked the Ring of Invisibility from Sheila, so that is up for grabs! Who wants that ring?
Lo Shan will take the ring of Invis that will give him his 3 magic items
Ok, It's all yours then!

I am still have massive trouble just trying to get the map to load in both chrome and Firefox! So I can not get on to even change the map at the moment but I am still trying! I get this error in chrome and tried to clear it, but it still will not load in:
I posted on the bug report forum about the map loading error we were having tonight.
I will take what ever you will giving me. Also if I have to can I sell current item to reduce my wieght
Ok, I did a system reset of Windows 10 on my computer and was able to get onto the map, then I just deleted it out. I will try to do it at a smaller scale. You need to make sure the Roll20 grid is no more than 100 x 100 now it seems. But, I was having that memory problem just going to other sites as well, so it seems the latest versions of chrome and Firefox are more the problem than roll20. I have 16GB of RAM on my system and never had this problem before.
Yes Cromth, you can sell any item you wish to part with.&nbsp;
Ok, after fixing the Horan's compound map last night, I came across a new glitch! The strength ability To Hit &amp; Damage bonuses are not going into the dice rolls like they should. This is happening no matter from where you make the roll; the macro buttons bar, the abilities section of the sheet, the computerized part of the sheet or even in the DM's Journal. It cleared up only briefly for a couple of rolls when I switched values around but then came right back after Cromth tried it!
Cool! Roll20 upgraded the Map Interface in the game, it is like a drop down menu now, so we shall see how it goes! I will also need to scale down any new maps so that they are no more than 100 x 100 though one map that was 140 x 100 still loaded in fine. No update from&nbsp; AquaAlex &nbsp;on the game glitches as of yet; The Strength Ability Bonuses not going into their attribute calls in the macros and the glitch that occurs when I clear out the turn order which resets all monster tokens' Armor Class to 0 but not the characters'.&nbsp; I am guessing both glitches may be caused by either the Tracker.js and or the tor-highlight-token-on-turn.js. Originally, these had no effect. There is also a glitch on the Roll20 Con schedule saying my game is not scheduled during the event even though it is on the 25th! Oh, one other glitch definitely caused by the tor-highlight-token-on-turn.js, is where it does not clear out the blinking tokens, like it used to do when you clear out the turn order or move to the next person in the turn order.
Can you maybe add in a negative modifier so its not added if it should not be or add in a positive modifier if it should be added and its not?
The blinking lights do nothing for me&nbsp;
The 'blinking lights' purpose is to get your attention when it's your turn to make a move! Though, most of the time that does not seem to be enough to get players attention!
Roxxifarius,&nbsp; I just made Lord Cromther's To Hit a -2 and Damage a -3 and still nothing happens.&nbsp; Same if I just had the values 2 &amp; 3 without the + or -.&nbsp; And still they do not go into the attributes in the macros!
When you click on your name in the upper right hand side and click 'My Account' there is a section now where you can set it to notify you of an upcoming game session: "Do you want to be reminded by email of upcoming scheduled games?:" So now you have that in addition to it being displayed on the game's main page and the Attendance Thread, where the game day &amp; time is also mentioned.
It's Monday mornings for me. i look forward to it every week :)
I opened up a player spot as&nbsp; Mark D. &nbsp;, has been unresponsive. Actually I had to open up 2 player spots in order for the game to appear on the looking for groups page, so there's another roll20 glitch for you!
We may not have access to baking soda, but we should be able to obtain baker's ammonia.
I have not heard back from Noah, so I might open up a player slot. The idea is to get enough people that we get at least half the party attending a session each week. Attendance has been good enough the last couple of weeks that I just may leave it at seven players for now.
That tas.ot town is bog and it's not really realitist us doing it all w/ flame inhibitor. It's a great idea! But we w/ need the tasloi manpowe to do do t and a shitload pf product
Zhora did run back and told them to sore up water buckets in case of a fire attack
Zhora has Barbarian power of nor getting surprised and perception and is ripped and fit. She can run all day
She also wear no armour so she can do stuff like that for AC 8 and easy to Hit by Hill Giants on steroids.&nbsp; she won't get lost because she can track
So if the Tasloi are smart, they w/ get lots of food and water up there&nbsp; But thier best security right now is we keep the situation under our hat until the Big Night
