Hello, I'm Jasen from Nevada and I'm 30; I am a CNC machinist and I look forward to playing with you! I make things for a living and I like being creative (although my job revolves around forming and cutting hard metals; I can do just the same for you players!). I have finished DM-ing long campaigns, oneshots, and short campaigns. I am currently working Mon-Sat due to the current events; I keep only a limited number of payed games running at anytime because I don't like my quality slipping. # Expectations When enjoying/taking part in an interactive story telling game like DnD it can be daunting to think that negative consequences can happen in a fantasy world; however, I think that challenges and trials can add greatly to the narrative. As a your DM I will be presenting you with choices that I want you to feel and with that being said, certain aspects of this game are not off limits to me; things like: Death, Attribute loss, an arm being cut off or crippled, and curses (lycanthropy or Health point loss). You will likely not be perfect adventurers at the end of this story (although I suppose it could be possible if the die roll in your favor). My philosophy as a DM is NOT all of the players versus me or to torture and pick on any one player, (even if you feel like it is happening). There could be a reason why you were attacked 5 times and no one else was attacked in a particular session and it could have something to do with positioning, alignment, aggravation towards a monster in some way, or story. DnD is a game and the good comes with the bad but I hope we can all get along and remember to not take a "Character's action" in the game world as personal attack in the "real world". # Rulings Disputes DnD is a very complex game with many interpretations of rules. RAW (Rules As they are Written/ Rules As Written), RAI (Rules As they are Intended/Rules As Intended), and RAF (Rules As Fun) are 3 of the ways players understand the rules. RAW is the literal verbatim interpretation of the text be it a spell or ability. RAI is the spiritual loose interpretation of the text be it a spell or ability that while being written by the game makers with certain words; they could have intent an entirely different style of play. RAF is a hodgepodge of doing whatever is needed to make it fun. To keep the game moving all ruling by me (your DM) are final until the end of a session and are subject to change if/when I see fit; if further confusion is distressing you then we can talk privately via voice or DM after the game session is over. In certain scenarios rulings can be changed if a good enough reason is given and everyone agrees, use that persuasion (I Realize this can be conflicting with the "all ruling is final"). Despite popular belief in the community, the DM cares about your characters and wants everyone at the table to have a fun time playing a crazy game! Bullying and abuse will not be tolerated.
